Joining mp4s?
I have 6 different mp4 clips that I'd like to join into one movie.
These are not separated out like zzzz.mp4.001 and zzzz.mp4.002 that can be "joined", but are distinct clips on their own like zzz01.mp4 and zzz02.mp4. I'm on a Mac 10.4 (yeah I need a new machine) usually run Safari, run VLC Player and Quicktime. TIA!

I don't know if there's a version for Mac but I downloaded an excellent free program a few months back called Media Cope. It does just about everything including combining/cutting video files. I probably got it via Cnet download.

Media Cope doesn't appear to have a version for Mac 10.4

you could simply append them all together. The files would all have to be the same dimension before you added them though, otherwise it'll not work correctly. http://avidemux.en.softonic.com/mac?ab=10 |

Format Factory will do the job for you (select Advanced/Video Joiner option), I believe this is available for Mac as well as Windows. As with Avidemux though, all the files need to have the same dimensions. In fact this freeware will convert or join just about any type of audio or video file, I use it nearly every day with no problems to report.
