If one consumes too much caffeine can alcohol counter the stimulatory effects of caffeine, so I can sleep? Any comments as to how much alcohol I should take?

What I did last night was to pour into a wine glass almost 5 ounces of regular wine. Then I added to that a jigger of vodka, and went to bed an hour later. It worked. I fell asleep within minutes, but woke up with a slight headache.

I've drunk too much
Since half five this morning to right now I've drunk almost three 1.5L bottles of Buxton water
 That`s too much I know. However had to go walkabout (Hobble-about) twice , got pounded by Mr Sunshine direct and forced to queue up twice too in buildings with crushing humidity. So I've sweat preverbal buckets Uggggh four frosty liters and nearly a half was a mistake to glug though. Certainly as this last bottle I finished off in forty minutes  Hey I got carried away ok
