PIXhost does meet my requirements, provided that the uploader created a gallery, and you use the option to downland the ZIP file they offer then.

But besides that, we don't have experience with their reliability yet. Or is anybody here already using PIXhost for quite some time (on some other forums, because thumbs of 200 px were not allowed yet on VEF)?

buttsie, do you have time to do some research on PIXhost?

Thanks to the post from dolfinator as well as posts by Al Gebra and others referring to the fact that pimpandhost doesn't let members in other countries open the pix, which is extremely unfair to them.
I apologize for posting with P&H, I will not be using it in the future I will repost all of my P&H posts as time and band width permits.

Unfortunately I guess need to try to repost my Imgbox posts first. Regrettably I am out of Band width for the current fiscal month so I will have to wait until after the 20th before I can do much. And with it being summer I don't have much time.
I hope that my posts will still be listed in my “Statistics, Find all posts by yukonlyc” so I can go through and try to repost everything next winter.?.?.
But please PM me if you find some P&H posts or pix that you want to download and I will try to repost them in a host that works for all. I still not sure what host to use,? I will do some more research on that through the post here next time there is bad weather.

continually defaulting to postimage.org, which does not allow adult content.
I can get the one off post now and again, but not easily.

I didn't try pixxxels again, because I concentrate my time to working in MIR at the moment.
So I don't do any new tests, but only monitor the test-threads, if there are new info, to maintain the table.
But I will do a new test in the next days.
I saw your recent posts in the pixxxels test-thread also and will check this later.

the old imagebam.com loads everything quickly but never seems to produce a posting code.

I was dabbling with this article a week ago that lists several alternatives to imagevenue which hosted 90 percent of my posts here or threads I posted images in.

Wish, I had more to contribute to this discussion. Great someone started this thread, but see it as overwhelming to re-host 90 threads or 4 pages of started threads. (several with more than one set of images in one thread) to say nothing of old open mystery box posts.

For me, it's been imagevenue everywhere for several years, even at EBI I just put in the code and don't bother uploading on their pages.

No interest in using a sign-up service.

Seems many of the boards, we reference here for threads have not even made an announcement about this major problem.

Freeones or any forum is 100 percent screwed with no thread editing.

Good luck to everyone, especially admin/mod team here, you survived board issues a few years ago and VEF came back better than ever, it will again.

@Baxter49: if you wish to rescue images for your (or others') mystery box posts you can, but they should not be your primary concern. That's because a crack... er, cracked? team are already working on recovering all MIR that they can.

edit: @Baxter49 or anyone else: if you do re-up images for any posts in MIR, please add a brief comment to that effect, e.g. "re-up", so we can see. We're pretty much only checking for thumb-links to the two troublesome image hosts, so if you replace them we're also likely to (hopefully) notice the difference.

You've just uploaded the pics and you get - showing 4 of 5 pics

Never set-up the dedicated server gallery link until all pics are showing
unless you want a 404 message when clicking on the gallery link.



Setting up the gallery link via folder viewer is very easy and if it goes wrong
you tick the box , delete , wait awhile and try again.



after set-up/make gallery I tend to err towards leaving it for 10 minutes before testing the link
and then edit it into the post

I remember just interface-design of one host, and the fact that dead images are very rare. It is mainly dark (brown?) with golden letters.

Thumb size for VEF is 150 pixels there, AFAIR...

Any idea?
