This picture was just identified as a fake (see post #10 by tomesing) but nevertheless there seems to be some confusion about the handling of it and the consequences according to the license plate (see post #11 by Xxphd : „Mirrored“ in the meaning of mirror inverted / post #12 by pferdewurst).
In order to throw some more light in this topic I collected all facts that were discussed around it and in addition to that I also want to decribe the approach from the original to the fraudulent falsification (fake).

Fact no. 1
As beutelwolf just stated in post #8 this picture was taken from Hochzeitsnacht-Report (1972).

Fact no. 2
The number plate on the car is CE – AM 866and CE represents the „vehicle licensing district“ of the german city/town Celle (population ca. 70.000, located in Lower Saxony).

Fact no. 3
As is was mentioned by Xxphd in Post #9 („Actually, I would like to see the movie clip if there is one. Possibly Ingrid was permitted to drive on a closed filmset. Doesn't appear to be a 'fake'.“) of course an actor or actress is allowed to drive a car on the setand you can play a chirurg without having a medical degree etc. etc. But in this case it wasn’t required because Ingrid was only the front-seat passenger.

And now to the most important or interesting thing in this case !
How did it go with the manipulation ?

The initial point was a snapshot from the original movie– so let’s start with this one (picture no. 2 posted by tomesing in post #10) :


Mirror inverted you get this picture – and now pay your attention to the number plate, it has to be read from right to left and not from left to right :




So the next step for the faker was to cut and paste the original number plate from the original into the mirror inverted one pretending this is the real position of Ingrid i.e. sitting on the right side on the driver’s seat.
This process has been done in this fake picture of post #7:



And now we come to the most specific feature – the number plate !
By enlarging the picture to a certain size and taking a snapshot only of the area around the number plate you can identify impurities while comparing the pixels at the border or frame of the „implanted“ number plate indicating explicitly that it is a fake :



So altogether this picture was only a „cheap trick“ !
But with the thought in mind to make us believe Ingrid was driving a car without license ?
Especially because of fact no. 3 (see above) this motive drops out in my opinion.
Therefore you could only fantasize about the real motivation to do this and perhaps it suggests itself that someone just wanted to show us to be able to create such a „work of art“.
It seems to be simply another example confirming the phrase or saying :

Ah well with new glasses I realize that it is NOT the same bikini comparing these pictures and I must admit that it is Elke Sommer or is it yet Barbara Valentin at the end ? And what is even more important in this respect a woman never wears the same bikini on 2 different events – I am sorry I forgot this !


No, in order to become honest again, perhaps I should have written : „ … and I think here she wears a similar (instead of „the same“) bikini as on the disputed picture where she is in a pool at a nightclub …“ - that is to say one special bikini only plays a secondary role here !


Therefore once again some words about my real purpose :
At the beginning of the 1970s Ingrid just could be seen in several movies but in particular she was in great demand as photo-model - especially a bikini-model – and she could be characterized particularly as a a party-girl and playgirl attending lots of parties and clubs especially the ones of Rolf Eden in Berlin who can even be seen as a kind of promoter of her further career.
Very typical attributes during this period and representing her special style and outfit in general were her blonde fringe, her hair devided on top by an alice ring or a hair ribbon or alternatively the hair put up in a bun or with pigtails and not to forget always wearing a lot of black eye makeup.
If you still don’t know what I mean here is a complete bunch of evidences all fitting in this pattern (see Ingrid Steeger thread; mostly also posted by tomesing himself) :


















Do you really want to doubt or question all these examples too ?



After all how can we bring this story to a positive end ?


Ok, we could start a vote by asking the crowd „Do you think it is Ingrid on this picture – YES or NO“. But that is ridiculous in a way.



The dutch „Lach-magazine“ article just gives the sparely information telling us that the nightlife of Munich has got a new attraction – a bar or club with a swimming-pool having a small bar right in middle of it. This was apparently celebrated by a big opening-party and as far as Ingrid’s popularity already was ranging wide over Berlin’s border it was absolutely possible that she was invited to this event by the owner of this club in Munich.
Public relations with such a star would have been everything to promote it.
I cannot imagine that this performance only was reported in a dutch mag – it is more likely that just before an article or report appeared in a german scene-magazine etc.
It maybe hard to find but at least it would be only way to find out further information about e.g. club-name & address in Munich and last but not least hopefully about the name of the girl(s) in the foreground.

PS : We should all try to search for it with new glasses– increases the chance to be successful !

It's the "Bild Zeitung"!

Why do we love Ingrid? Because we who grew up with Klimbim are reminded of happier times when we see her.

Movies and TV shows with her were funny and made as laugh. What do we have to laugh about now? Reality and casting shows? A million channels on the tube and million so-called “Stars” in the news I never heard about. And every single show and headline has to be a drama.

And you can’t believe what you read. Not because of a “Fake News” conspiracy but because of the underlying motive – “Make ME Money”. And not only in the news. That’s apparently everybody’s motive these days. Think about it: she lives in an apartment in the heart of a high rent district for 650 Euros rent a month. The owners get her out of there, punch it up and probably get twice as much. And somebody from the owners office must have told the “Bild Zeitung” about the eviction.

Now, I’m not saying that’s true, Ingrid is not young anymore and let’s face it - she was never the brightest bulb in the chandelier. She say’s that the apartment might have smelled one time when she had to go to the hospital for an emergency. Maybe that’s true. I don’t know. Maybe she just can’t take care of herself anymore. I hat quite a lot to do with the elderly and infirm in the last few years and it’s not easy to grow old.

What I do know is that I love her and I owe her for happy times and memories. And that I find it despicable that the papers and tv stations jump on peoples misery’s.

Personally, I wish her all the best and I will always be thankful for all the laughs she gave me. I still have a big poster of her in the Klimbim wedding dress on wall in my bedroom and smile at her every time I see it.
