I have some problems with Imagebam (again).

1 - Images of relatively new uploads are dead in relatively large numbers.

2 - In last few months my browser* often crashes during upload, usually after I select files and Imagebam list them.

Someone else?

* currently back to Mozilla 34, but same happens with newer

Reply to issue #1:

Yes, that is correct: many images at imagebam are gone; in some cases the thumbnail examples still exist, but the full image does not show: only the message "Loading" appears and nothing happens.....

This is probably caused by the problems in the last months of 2014 and earlier in 2015 : several image- and videohosters had issues, also our VEForum had issues.....

links to servers were damaged in one way or another.

Reply to issue #2: not known to me that uploading caused browser failure..

Does Your Harddrive still have enough free space to handle large files/ tasks?

to my ( very limited knowledge) there always should be an amount of 2 - 4 GB available for temporary memory use etc.

i am using the most recent Mozilla FF version (37.2 or so

)

During the replacement of a hard drive another hard drive failed. That resulted in dataloss. We were able to restore recently viewed images. We are hoping to restore a larger amount of images - a task that will take a couple more days.

Their slowly working to restore them but failed back-ups and messages that say as much as 75% lost on some servers says to me your better off re-upping to a different host and posting a gallery link - leave the imagebam thumbnails up incase they comeback

I've said it before but the posting of full HQ sets to these hosts is only going to do one thing
Make their business model unworkable in the long run

Just as free filehost peejayshare once did - mass deletions to stay afloat - imagehosts will find ways of removing content simply to stay afloat

- full HQ sets downloaded via download managers
earn them nothing but cost them bandwidth

How long before we see Unlimited accounts replaced with limits and the surplus jettisoned
like the filehosts did?

I'm also having problem with these sites for few days. I've been fedup with their crappy servers so I searched online and found few Image hosting sites that works great and they are- Image bam and Image venue.

After searching more I came across this directory- theporndude.com and they have many image sharing and uploading sites listed. BTW here is the list they have-

Just repeated. Twice. With only few tags opened parallel.

Sorry guys, I know lots of you at VEF don't like slow Pimpandhost or time limits on Imagevenue but this leads nowhere.

perhaps a pc wizard among the members can tell You that this is defenitly not Your system , butthe imagehost only...

ImageVenue - several of my JPG images posted recently seem to have 'disappeared', just the red cross showing on the preview.

ImageBam - so slow to even access the site (yet alone do uploads of JPGs) that it is unusable. And even seen Windows diagnostic "cannot communicate with 'www.imagebam.com'" on occasions as well.

Today (5/1/15) I have noticed that after clicking the "Submit" button images are taking an excessively long time to post. Also, even when clicking the "Submit" button only once most times I am receiving the "This is a duplicate post ..." message before the images post.
