For the first time in its 64 year history, Playboy magazine will feature a transgender playmate.. including the November/December centerfold.

The move was made by Cooper Hefner, Hugh's son, who is "Chief Creative Officer". The issue is to honor his legacy.

"It very much speaks to the brand’s philosophy," Hefner, 26, told The New York Times of his decision. "It’s the right thing to do. We’re at a moment where gender roles are evolving."

I can't help but think if Hef was down with this it would have happened while he was alive.. and this is to honor his legacy as creator of the magazine that is/was the standard bearer of 'entertainment for men'.
