Roger Moore was my favourite Bond.
While every other actor who's played the role "suffers for their art" and takes themselves seriously, Roger just effortlessly made Bond fun.
Also, one of my favourite opening themes was the Persuaders:

He was great as Bond adding humor to such straight forward mind always on the mission character.I found him to be very funny in various comedies he has done over the years
RIP

I have to say that I thought Roger Moore did all of his Bond films in a tongue in cheek mode, but the role he played in a "sleeper" film named "FFolkes"... I always liked. Bless you.

Default More reasons to love Sir Roger

He was a tireless and articulate fighter against animal cruelty and abuse - often delivered with his characteristic cutting humour. A Gentleman through and through.

I just want to pay a tribute to Nicky Hayden.

He gave the anti-Rossi brigade a great thrill by clinching the 06 MotoGP title. In his first couple of years, I wasn't sure he had it in him to win a championship. He was very good in 05, then carried it on with a sensational season in 06.

That would not have been easy to do. A laid back American. Gowing up in American racing, where it would not have been as hardened and definitely not as cynical as European racing. To lead the Rossi-less factory Honda of all teams and win a championship. That definitely deserves respect.

In 06. He won two races compared to Rossi's six (Rossi was denied another through mechanical failure?). That kind of stat might be used to diminish his accomplishment. But having watched the season, I thought he was the best rider that year anyway regardless of any statistic saying otherwise. Had Pedrosa not cleaned him up in Portugal, he'd have won by a points margin more reflective of how good he was that year.

RIP Kentucky Kid.

Default Sir Roger Moore

I met Roger Moore briefly whilst I was shooting a piece to camera in a video for UNICEF, a charity to which he devoted a lot of his time and energy. He was charm personified, an absolute gentleman and a delight to meet, and he had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. RIP Sir Roger Moore.
