I detest both Microsoft and Apple. Large corporations who have too much power and who use it to invade our privacy and restrict our choices as consumers. That being said, I use a Dell PC that runs with Windows 10.

It's time for serious alternatives to Apple and Microsoft. If you're computer-savvy, you'll be able to build your own PC that suits your needs of privacy protection and performance improvement. This includes an opportunity to use a OS of your choice, perhaps an alternative to Microsoft. This is not possible with an Apple computer or any of their devices. Apple is the ultimate Big Brother corporation. As a consumer you're swallowed and lulled by them. You're not supposed to look for hardware or software alternatives outside their inventory of products. Don't think. Just pay like a good, abiding customer.

Microsoft is neither better or an alternative. The only difference is that they don't build their own computers but partner with other manufacturers.

Microsoft for me.

I like customizing stuff and Apple won't allow me to do that.

I also like a right-mouse-button on my mouse

Ok, good marketing. But they've never added anything to the technological pool. And they have a reputation for crashing local networks, which means they're not as useful -- they don't play the connectivity game as well

Apple is for people who just don't trust technology, here in America the people with Apple phones are usually the older folk

How can a mp3 player be THAT good?

And since I use a mobile phone, I don't need anymore a mp3 player...

Umm, I have got Apples mouse, came with the machine, the whole thing is one button but it is sensitive to which side of the mouse is clicked
and does in fact have a right click.

Err, just as a minor bit of info I actually use Chrome as my browser and does have it's own spell checker, I just can't be bothered correcting my typos plus you know I'm childish and love to add stupidity and confusion to, well, everything

Modern smartphones may have made the classic mp3 player redundant but listening to music on your phone is only fun if you're not bothered by having to charge your battery every two hours.

Hahaha! I'm almost a generation older than him

Where I live, almost no one has iPhones. For a long time they had exclusively Nokia, now more have Samsung

From what I saw in AUS, young people like iPhones, because they're seen as trendy and they want to impress their peers. This was true of all 3 of my nieces and their friends

Maybe brand loyalty will keep them, or maybe they'll grow up and not pay ludicrous prices for average devices. Who knows?
