What would you like to be famous for ?

I'd like to be known for intentionally pissing off people that deserve it.

Today, I'd like to be famous or infamous for being an Assassin

Considering the events in a certain country with a certain female prime minister that I refer too as one of her body parts, I'm sure about 85% of that countries population would probably award me a medal

i think there's a certain level of fame that we'd all desire..... somewhere mid way between tom cruise and jamie oliver....?? where you've got the money, and the respect of your peers and fans, but can still go about your daily tasks like shopping without being mobbed, 'papped' or unable to just live a normal life..!!??

i had no idea just how manic other guys were over dannii minogue; a woman ive always fancied but felt was only semi-famous compared to the really big stars; until i made the mistake of trying to queue up and meet her at waterstones last week..... totally wacky and insane..!! i'd never want that level of total anarchy everywhere i went.....!!!

I`d like to be remembered for the man who somehow took down Parliament and those who gravy trained within her

Plus,

Vaporised the Brussels corrupt spider web central of evil that is Euroland and all insidiously involved

Plus,

Destroyed the three faced UN, every Banker, Trader, Lobbyist, Arms or Drug dealer of death


Oh and someone who then turned out to be immortal

I distinguish between "famous" and "well-known". I would like to be well-known for translating or for writing books. But for books I would always use a nom-de-plume because I don't want undesirable people to know of me

That's why I distinguish. I think that if you are famous, it is best not to be glamorous and attention-seeking at the same time, if you value your private life. Which I do

True enough. You can have both, with a catch...

For many years I worked with the band Lynyrd Skynyrd, and got to know one of the members quite well. (He is now sadly deceased, though not in the plane crash, he was one of the survivors). Yet whenever we would meet up, bar, restaurant, whatever, he was never recognized and never once did someone interrupt us for an autograph. However, out of the public element, he was constantly surrounded by "friends" who mostly wanted the shirt off his back, because they thought he was rich. He did make plenty of money, he also spent plenty as well.

I also have met with and had lunch with Irene Cara, the muse that started this thread. Suffice to say it was enough time to understand why her career has hit the skids. Seriously manic, nuts or both.
