Your tale of heroism and bravery in the face of almost certain death has been forwarded to The Super Adventure Club. No doubt a mountain top will be renamed or a plaque mounted but the name Billy 'Bee Bee' Bunter will never be forgotten. You brave, brave soul.

Well I'm drained! Whenever I watch England play any country I always have to try to remain calm, my blood pressure went up three times I am sure of that, but then yelling might help to relieve that so if that is the case roll on Ukraine on Tuesday. I noticed that we were outnumbered fanwise in the stadium - but then with the price of tickets so expensive what do they expect, it's not exactly the right time for any country's fans to spend a lot of money is it. I am off for a nice cuppa and a liedown in a darkened attic.

Went out for a walk to get some fresh air before going to bed. Then I had to pass the hoodies at the "shops." "Hey whatya doing!" my reply-ask your Ma. I can see why OAPS stay indoors.

I usually pass hoodies going home from work on their(?) bikes (actually some of the bikes are "Boris-bikes", bet our mayor didn't see that coming).

Default Karmic balance is such a wonderful thing...

First, the web address:

http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/w...ars-he%20found

Then the news headline:

A homeless man who stumbled across a bag full of cash and gold coins has been told he can keep the haul – worth over $70,000.

Timothy Yost, 46, struck lucky when he took a walk on the banks of the Colorado River in Bastrop, Texas and after kicking what he thought was a bag full of rubbish, heard a jangling. Inside were 70 sodden $100 notes and 40 South African gold coins known as Krugerrands, each worth more than $1500.

Mr Yost took the damp currency to the bank to get it exchanged, where staff got suspicious and called the police. After convincing them that it was not the proceeds of a crime, officers advertised in a local newspaper for the owner to come forward – giving a 90-day limit.

Although one person claimed it, the money was not given out, with the local council unanimously deciding that it should go to Mr Yost. "It is a great day for Bastrop, it is a great day for Mr Yost," said Aleta Peacock, who was representing him in the case. "There are a lot of things I would like to advise him to do, but as legal counsel we have boundaries. We will ensure he gets his money and also ensure his personal safety."

And now for the real kicker to end the story:

Mr Yost will have to wait to spend his windfall however – as he is currently in jail on charges of public intoxication and criminal trespassing.

I feel so glad that this very lucky bugger has now been given a $70000 chance to improve his life. You would also think that the police would have better things to do than keep the guy in jail after getting this windfall, but then I suppose they must earn their living somehow other than becoming incredibly cheap meat at the local piggery.

I'd also like to know where all this money came by, especially the Krugerrands, as they aren't exactly easy to find so freely disposed of. Methinks something suspicious about thoust dumping of golden goods, yes?

And I'm also so glad I went with this story and not the other one about the other octo-mum; the woman who ate a bit of cooked squid & then somehow managed to give birth to 12 baby cephalopods from out of her mouth. I dare say that left me with a foul taste, just like those raccoons getting up themselves...
