No insult intended, but my 94 year old Mom is kind of a slob. Just a few days after the cleaning women have cleaned the apartment, her bedroom looks as if it was hit by a tornado; hardcover books all over the bed and floor, tissues the same, mail all over the place, and our den ( where my computer is ) also gets messy. The main table next to the couch has candy wrappers everywhere, papers, books, recipes torn from newspapers, old newspapers, pencils, pens, and other stuff strewn all over.

I had heard about it but I never believed it until I did it. I lost the full sized keyboard for my pc for two days and eventually found it in my bed

Last month I found a sunday supplement magazine on my bedroom floor, still in its plastic wrapper. The date was december 2009.

My sense of taste and smell are so shot I eat food that has gone off and end up vomiting a couple of times a year. When it happened recently there was no empty Pringles tube which I usually use so I puked into a small cardboard box that had been on my bedroom floor for the last five years. A friend visited and asked me if I had diposed of the box. After she left I wondered how much of a slob she thought I was. When she visits tomorrow I shall tell her I kept the box and ask her when her birthday is.

I am not sure if this counts a slob or genius. The battery for my remote seems weak so instead of walking fifteen feet, climbing twelve stairs, walking another fifteen feet to get fresh ones from a supply of two dozen.........I put them in my tea and then into the microwave for a minute. 50/50 if I drink the tea as I am not keen on tea that has been nuked.

Sometimes I find it easier to go out and buy another when I cant find something. I used to be an antiques dealer and an essential book is "an encyclopedia of pottery and porcelain marks"........I now have seven copies.
