Konga (1961)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055058/

Returning to London a year after being feared dead in a plane crash in Africa Dr. Charles Decker (Michael Gough). On his return he tells his assistant Margaret how the tribes witch doctor knew how to grow both plants and animals to an enormous size. He brings back a baby chimpanzee Konga and tells Margaret that he will use Konga to try out his theory.
Of course like all movie scientists he is a bit deranged and chooses to use the ever growing Konga ' to get rid of those who he feels are working against him.

Sooner or later as expected Konga grows to an enormous size and even turns into a gorilla and London becomes to Konga what New York was to King Kong

Got back earlier from seeing the new Tom Cruise film Mission: Impossible-FALLOUT must say it was a great film, plenty of action, stunts and heart-stopping moments which is what you want from an action film and light years away from the original series of the seventies - the fifth season of which I have just been watching on CBS Action satellite channel. I'd recommend this film if you want a good night out.

Gorgo (1961)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054938/

I love these old monster movies.

A salvage crew are exploring off the Irish coast when a violent undersea disturbance stops them. The crew go ashore to try to arrange repairs but find the locals resistant to all outsiders, not long after the salvage crew recover the body of a local diver who happens to be holding a few gold coins. They believe the locals are guarding sunken treasure and go in search of it but find a walking sea monster below. That night the creature rises and comes ashore attacking the village.
The salvage crew decide to capture the creature and take it to London to make money from exhibiting the beast, what they don't know is it is just a youngster and its mother is following them to rescue her child.

Matador (1986)

Trailer

Diego Montes (Nacho Martínez) is a former bullfighter (matador) who was forced to retire after a bull taught him a lesson he'll never forget. Now he's an instructor (maestro) with a penchant for the morbid. In one of the early scenes, Diego is masturbating to a slasher film. Among his students in the bullfighting class is Ángel (Antonio Banderas), a shy and sentimental guy who's under the thumb of his ultra-religious wacko mother. When he's asked by Diego whether he was gay, Ángel denies it and vows to prove that he's no fruitfly by attempting to rape Diego's girlfriend Eva (Eva Cobo). As the woman doesn't press charges, a guilt-ridden Ángel turns himself in to the police and confesses to a series of murders he didn't commit.

While not his best work, I really admire Pedro Almodóvar's style. Not many modern directors are so distinctive as he is. Colorful, absurd, funny, hilarious: the standard ingredients of an Almodóvar film. Antonio Banderas participated in a couple of his films throughout the 1980s. He mostly portrayed some obsessive nutcases and he was brilliant. Unfortunately he opted for a Hollywood career as a second-rate cliché.

Monster from Green Hell (1957)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0050723/

Next in the box set, scientists send animals into space as test subjects to see the affects of radiation on life, they lose track of the craft and found it has crashed to Earth in Africa and the wasps that were aboard have grown to gigantic size

Cheesy in the extreme.
