Yes, you need to download and install a (movie) screen capture program such as Replay Video Capture. IIRC the free version of this allows you to capture a maximum of 2 minutes of movie action which can be saved to (e.g.) an AVI or MPG file. That should cover most clips posted on VEF but if you want more then you will need to pay for it!

No, not without breaking VEF rules as most direct links to external sites are banned (risk of malware etc) - but the vendor of this safe product is Applian so a Google search will find it.
