This is the hardest thing I have had to do for a while. I set myself the task of choosing only one album per artist or I could have filled it with just Pink Floyd. I also chose to select based on music style, one to represent each of the types of msic that I listen to and from different time periods in my life.

1. Meddle, Pink Floyd

2. Led Zeppelin IV

3. The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust, David Bowie

4. Tubular Bells, Mike Oldfield

5. Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia, The Dandy Warhols.

6. Automatic for the People, REM

7. Bye the Way, Red Hot Chili Peppers

8. Stanley Road, Paul Weller.

9. Heartbreaker, Ryan Adams

10. 'O', Damien Rice.

Albums that didnt quite make it because of over representation of a genre as follows.

Genesis, Lamb Lies down on Broadway.
Yes, Close to the Edge
Wishbone Ash, Argus
The Who, Whos Next
The Velvet Underground and Nico, Andy Warhol
