Friendly hosts posters - they post files taken from VOD paysites, Usenet, other torrent sites and this russian site...

I repost many files here from russian torrent (also as cash links mirrors), but only on 1fichier

As i write earlier - if people can post many free mirrors and stop feed these cash spammers they all die like dinosaurs on this site

people won't use torrents because many isp's block them. I've never used a torrent or paid for a premium membership of a file host and i never will. I'd rather have a trip down the dvd store which is what i'm doing in about one hour from now.

Torrents in the wrong country with no security precautions ie paid VPN that doesnt keep logs are actually not the guaranteed day in court they used to be according to torrent freak.

I still wouldnt be using them - erotica isnt like food , water , clothing & shelter.

The torrentfreak article you sent is about mainstream movies, musics etc. not porn.
I still dont know why the people prefers these file hostings while its very possible to find out by simply searching on google.
It is very easy to find same files on google by both torrent and free direct download http links.
Also there are paysites...

I only saw just few movies are rare on vef. Hard to find them on google but other 99 percent are very easy to find on the web as a free.

originated here at VEF in all likelihood. The Russian sites steal from
here, post there, then come back here to repost as spammers. Those
links die/spammer gets banned, then the process repeats itself. I've seen
my own files not only end up on the Russian torrent sites, downloaded
from there then uploaded to some shitty filehost, as well as ending up
for sale on frigging Ioffer. The word "rare", only pertains to the original
sharer of a file. After that, it's fucking everybody's, whether you want it
that way or not.

Ah yes. I have seen a lot of my files end up on torrent sites. But you have to be realistic about these things. People will always share on other sites and the only way to deal with cash posters in an effective way would be to have a small list of user friendly allowed hosts. But that too has it downside since one thing we learned is that file hosts are not forever and they may also suddenly change their policy (e.g. Rapidshare). And forums owners tend to think quantity (revenue) rather than quality so it's not up to the wishes of the staff either. There are certainly fewer rare posts posted in Classic Movies than before but a lot of movies have already been posted. A lot of movies are not issued on DVD and it's not for everyone to use capping equipment to make a good transfer of a movie than can be encoded to a manageable size with a decent encoding software.

A lot of classic sellers on Ebay have also disappeared. I remember a few years back when a rare tape could be sold for several hundred dollars. Now you can get tapes for $10 but most are common.

There probably are a lot of factors involved why fewer rare movies are posted. But whatever the reasons and causes I sadly believe the heydays of VEF are gone.

When I began my Classic Playboy Channel thread, probably around 70%
of all of Playboy's home releases could be found somewhere online, although
half or less of those were not the best of quality. 8-9 years later now, 99.99%
of all PB home releases can be found in multiple places, at as good of quality
as can be. That's just a small example of the overall picture, as things get
posted over and over again, because there's only a finite amount of things
that fall within the years that are allowed in each forums. The word "rare",
is probably the most used description used on Ebay when it comes to selling
videos, and by used.........I mean overused. There's a bunch of movies and
videos that are seldom if ever seen, that I wouldn't consider rare, simply
because I could give a shit less about them lol. Something actually being
rare and good though.......that's another story. Like I said.....after
a certain point, there's nothing left.......hence all of the reposts, be they on
crummy file hosts or good ones.

Sites like these, are no different than file host companies......they want to
make money, as you said. When new posts are not allowed, be they posted
already or not, there's less views, which means less revenue. Doesn't always
seem fair, but then if someone's looking for fairness......the internet ain't it! lol.

VEF has always reminded me of a forest. All kinds of critters, with simply a
wonderful view. After a while, lightening will strike, (file/pic hosts die) and
set everything on fire, only to grow back, albeit not the same way.
