My first Playmate crush was actually my first Playmate - Tracy Vaccaro (October 1983). I had the good fortune to meet her years later. She was a very nice person, and actually posed for a picture with me holding the July 1985 issue with her on the cover:

My first crush was Marianne Gravatte. I found the PB-magazine - was it 1983? - from my employers desk. I was amazed of her look. I was 19.
At the time I was doing my exams to art school; drawings freehand of someones face - someone you know - and I decided to draw hers. Well, the result wasn't that bad, but not a outstanding either.
Nobody knew who was my model. Eventually I didn't get the school, I went abroad instead, but my mother found the picture. She framed it. And afterwards when I came to visit her, I was little bit surprised to find my "Marianne" hanging on the wall.
It's still there. My mother still thinks she was one of my ex's...
And sometimes I yet hope she really was...

Not B.S. about the Barber Shop. Small town America in the 1950s and 1960s was a different time and place. Men went to barbers and women went to hairdressers. Each place was essentially off-limits to the other sex. The U.S. became much more complex in the 1970s.
