How about "Saturday Night Live?" And for those of us getting a bit long in the tooth, "The Carol Burnett Show."

I would give honourable mentions to "Big Train", "Absolutely" and "Who Dares Wins". All U.K. Channel Four progs if I'm not mistaken.

Ignoring all my obvious favourite older shows such as 'Gimme gimme' & 'Monty Python'.....

Could anyone back me on a memory I have that I think was from the otherwise loathsome 'Little Britain' shows; where I think that David used to go into a shop to ask for a very specific jigsaw or book, only for Matt to shout upstairs to "Margaret?" to ask her if they had one, her reply usually to suggest something very similar, but David to shake his head, "No".....? Am I recalling this correct, or am i making it up??

Your memory is correct, if you search Little Britain and Margaret you can find the sketches.
