At which point we should pause and wonder if Greenman didn't leave a month too soon?
By gum, that was a rattling good performance by Liverpool last night; just when they needed everyone to give everything, they did and Barca were clearly rocked back on their heels by a magnificent team performance coupled with waves of support crashing down from the stands to keep driving the reds onward. And if Trent Alexander Arnold never played another match at Anfield, last night would still see that he went down in LFC folklore. That corner was a moment of pure brilliance and deserved to be decisive in a match which left spectators breathless. The reds really should buy Allison, their inspired keeper, a big drink. And buy the woefully uninspiring, rooted to the spot, feeble excuse for Barca keeper, an even bigger one. Cheers! |

The Dutch surely legalised cannabis for days like this, when they will still be in collective shock across Amsterdam, whilst in Rotterdam they will be hanging out the bunting in celebration and laughing their clogs off.
Another staggering performance, this time Spurs, away from home and with a cliff-hanging conclusion that you would only dare dream of in Roy of the Rovers land. It seems the impossible is now the achievable as a matter of course. On a practical note, apparently LFC supporters have already booked every UK flight to Madrid for the final and the tourist industry must be salivating...Spurs fans face a very high price to follow their side's success as it looks like charter flights will be the only way to get to Spain unless you want to trek across land. The final should, I hope be rivetting viewing; I bet LFC would have preferred to face Ajax though... |

I still haven't got over the Kompany goal. That was an incredible moment, yet has been overshadowed by two remarkable CL semi finals.
I knew this move would pay off for Tottenham. Quote:

Apparently the flights to Madrid have now been snapped up so readily that the most economic recommendation for any fan wanting to reach Madrid for the CL final is:
buy a package to a Spanish holiday destination located nearby a railway station that runs a reliable service to Madrid. Spend a week or so in the sun, pausing only to take in the football. Celebrate/drown your sorrows thereafter at your resort of choice. There's something to be said for that. Ole! |

Watched the Gooners take Valencia apart, some of the attacking play was breath taking, but still some frail defensive issues. Watched the extra time of the Chelsea game as they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 4-3 on pens.
Two PL European finals, apparently miracle's do happen, an even bigger one would be both trophies heading to North London, with the Spuds becoming another member of the three European trophy club. |
