Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

tsunamiSD Veteran Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Posts: 53,015 Thanks: 633,094 Thanked 640,232 Times in 53,098 Posts	400 Request Header or Cookie message This afternoon I've been getting a lot of the below when I try to access some parts of VEF, haven't had it happen anywhere else I've logged in. After repeated attempts, I do eventually get through to the section or thread or post that I'm trying to reach. If it matters, I use Firefox. Also, part of the time that I click on the 'thanks' button I get a white square pop up with lines of HTML code with the same message embedded in it. I also get it when I do a post myself (it happened trying to post this, in fact.) 400 Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large nginx/1.4.6 (Ubuntu)
