Sarah Kennedy in Radio 2 dawn patrol show also picked up on this on Friday. Thought to be "Carry on London". The team also did a stage show in the 1970s which ran fo9r a year at the Victoria Palace called "Carry on London" /fyos

Here is a clip I have made from "Carry On England". This comprises the scene as issued with an "A" certificate rating and subsequently on video and DVD. Plus the scene as it was originally shot.
When this film when given a theatrical release it was given an "AA" rating however because an initial poor box office the film was withdrawn re-cut including this scene and re-released with an "A" rating.

The five actresses in the scene are, Tricia Newby, Jeanne Collings, Linda Regan, Louise Burton and Barbara Hampshire.

Each "Carry On" film in the late 60's and then 70's was shot "end to end" in six weeks.

They did two per year. The average TOTAL budget for each film was £250,000 (pre production, product in and all post production)

The principle contract artists (contracted to do two a year by Rank) - e.g. Kenny Williams, Babs, Sid James, Charles Hawtry etc were paid about £28,000 each per year each to do the "two movies they were contracted for per year"

Not at all. And just to add another example of the producer's care with the money, he always made sure that the last shot filmed was done at Pinewood so the wrap party could happen straight away without him having to pay travel costs to cast and crew.
