2. My wife's sister and her English boyfriend will host my wife on this Cornwall -

Does anyone have a guess what's going on here.

3. How bad will the Ryanair round trip be to & from Morocco. This Cornwall-Devonshire trip is the excursion inside her Morocco trip.
Oh, and how cold/wet is Cornwall/Devonshire in the first half of April? God knows she bought enough clothes recently for that kind of weather.

The Cornish coast is gorgeous with lots of bays, small hidden beaches and magnificent cliffs. Devon likewise though not so grand. The weather in April can be marvellous or rotten depending on your luck and Ryan Air likewise.

Thanks. The boyfriend has the three of them staying in Clovelly in North Devon for two nights. Looks like a quaint channelside town.

An affront to democracy? What about the vote to join the EU in the first place. Wasn't the brexit an affront to that democracy? Silly

There was no vote to join the EU. At the time we joined 1972(?) our Prime minister took us into the "European Economic Community" (EEC) without asking us, in about 1975 we were asked if we wanted to stay in the EEC and as those who voted thought it was a loose federation of countries who had got together to make trade a bit easier they voted to remain.

They didn't know that the whole plan was to form a single country probably to be called the United States of Europe with ever closer union.

Other members will know more about this though.

You've asked everybody who voted in 1975 have you? I suppose you must have, as you know why they all voted the way they did...

I remember that we were specifically told that there would be no loss of sovereignty.

You might want to do some reading up before going around calling people "silly", silly.

Nope, I've no idea why anyone voted the way they did in 1975.

All I said was they didn't know what the whole plan for the EEC/EC/EU was.

So some Brit found a MG42 in his great grandfather's loft. Hope he maximizes the value of it by taking it apart, selling the parts except for the receiver - which should get turned into the authorities. Wonder if the old man just forgot what he stored up there.

Or do Brits get to keep full auto weapons if they registered it after WW2?
