Billie Holiday was an American jazz singer and songwriter who was nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and musical partner Lester Young. As you might expect for a black jazz and blues singer, her upbringing was hard. Her mother had moved to Philadelphia when thirteen, after being ejected from her parents' home in Baltimore for becoming pregnant ... some things never change. She only saw her mother when they took what were then known as "transportation jobs", serving on the passenger railroads

Holiday frequently skipped school and her truancy resulted in her being brought before the juvenile court in January 1925 (while still not even 10 yrs old) She was sent to The House of the Good Shepherd, a Catholic reform school but by the age of 11, she had dropped completely out of school. In 1926 her mother discovered a neighbor, Wilbur Rich, raping Holiday, and he was arrested ... so back to reform school, and her mother wound up living with and working for, a prostitution madam.

Still, as we have seen before, adversity can make heroines of some young girls, and during this time, Holiday first heard the records of Louis Armstrong and Bessie Smith .... her mother abandoned her by the end of 1928, and Holiday began to perform the songs she had learned, while working in the brothel. She joined her mother in New York, who was now a prostitute and within a matter of days of arriving in New York, Holiday, who had not yet turned fourteen, also became a prostitute for $5 a time. When in 1929 the house was 'raided' by the police, Holiday and her mother were sent to prison, and then the 'workhouse'. Her mother was released in July, followed by Holiday in October, at the age of 14 ... phew, what a life.

From 1929 to 1931, the young singer teamed up with a neighbor, tenor sax player Kenneth Hollan. As her reputation grew, Holiday played at many clubs, and she connected with her father, who was playing with Fletcher Henderson's band .... By the end of 1932 at the age of 17, Billie Holiday replaced the singer Monette Moore at a club called Covan's on and was heard by record producer John Hammond, who arranged for Holiday to make her recording debut, at age 18, with Benny Goodman, singing two songs.

She collaborated with Goodman on a number of her recording sessions ... she became an established major singer and enjoyed great professional successes which are detailed on her wiki page. In September 1946, Holiday began work on what would be her only major film 'New Orleans'. She starred opposite Louis Armstrong and Woody Herman. Holiday was not pleased that her role was reduced to that of a maid: "I thought I was going to play myself in it," she said. "I thought I was going to be Billie Holiday doing a couple of songs in a nightclub setting and that would be that. I should have known better. When I saw the script, I did .... the voice coach was trying to get the right kind of 'tom' feeling into this thing".

It was during the filming of this movie that Holiday's drug addictions became major problem on the set .... Her then lover Joe Guy had traveled to Hollywood and supplied her with drugs but this was discovered by Joe Glaser, Holiday's manager, and he was banned from the set. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that she was now earning more than a thousand dollars a week from her club ventures at the time, but spent most of it on Heroin. In May 1947, Holiday was arrested for the possession of narcotics in her New York apartment ... the trial went badly, when her defense lawyer proved to be deficient (even the prosecution tried to help her) ... and she was sentenced to Alderson Federal Prison Camp in West Virginia, more popularly known as "Camp Cupcake". She was released early (March 16, 1948) because of good behavior

She continued to be successful after her release, but once again Holiday was arrested in January 1949, while inside her room at San Francisco's Hotel Mark Twain .... Holiday later stated that she began using hard drugs in the early 1940's. She had married trombonist Jimmy Monroe in August 1941, but while she was still married to Monroe, she had become romantically involved with trumpeter Joe Guy, who was also her drug dealer, and eventually she had become his common-law wife. She finally divorced Monroe in 1947 and also split with Guy.

Because of her 1947 conviction, Holiday's New York City Cabaret Card (a system designed to prevent people of "bad character" from working on licensed premises. i.e. the best paying clubs ...it was in force until 1967), was revoked, which kept her from working anywhere that sold alcohol for the remaining 12 years of her life. Club owners knew she was blacklisted and had limited work options, so they would offer her a smaller salary, and this greatly reduced Holiday's earning power, as she had not got royalties for any of her recordings until she signed for Decca records, after basically being swindled by her managers and lawyers.

By the 1950's, Holiday's drug abuse, drinking, and relationships with abusive men had caused her health to deteriorate, and her financial problems worsened when Holiday's records also went out of print in the 1950's. She seldom received any money from royalties in her latter years. For instance, in 1958 Holiday received a royalty check of only 11 dollars. Her voice was going, and in March 1957, Holiday married Louis McKay, a Mafia enforcer, who like most of the men in her life was abusive, but he did try to get her off drugs. They were separated at the time of her death. In the final years of her life, she had been progressively swindled out of her earnings, and she died with $0.70 in the bank and $750 (a tabloid fee) on her person.

Sad Death:

In May 1959, Holiday was admitted to the Metropolitan Hospital in New York suffering from liver and heart disease. Police officers were stationed at the door to her room and in a shameful episode she was arrested for drug possession as she lay dying, and the police even raided her hospital room. Holiday remained under police guard at the hospital until she died from cirrhosis of the liver on July 17, 1959. Her funeral mass was held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New York City.

Trivia:

• Holiday took her professional pseudonym from Billie Dove, an actress she admired, and the musician Clarence Holiday, her probable father.
• Benny Goodman recalled hearing Holiday in 1931 at 'The Bright Spot'.
• Somewhat ironically in 1935, Billie Holiday had a small role as a woman being abused by her lover in Duke Ellington's short 'Symphony in Black: A Rhapsody of Negro Life'. In her scene, she sang the song "Saddest Tale"
• When she was released from Prison, her pianist Bobby Tucker and her dog Mister were waiting for her. The dog leaped at Holiday, knocking off her hat, and tackled her to the ground. "He began lapping me and loving me like crazy". A woman overheard the commotion and thought the dog was attacking Holiday. She started screaming and soon a crowd gathered and then the press showed up. "I might just as well have wheeled into Penn Station and had a quiet little get-together with the Associated Press, United Press, and International News Service".

Jaime Elizabeth Pressly (born July 30, 1977) is an American actress and model. Best known for playing Joy on My Name Is Earl, for which she won an Emmy, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

According to her IMDb she has been active in "the industry" since 1997.

Jaime Pressly was not ready for her close-up on the night of January 5, 2011 after police say she was stopped for a simple traffic violation. After police performed a routine field sobriety test, Pressly failed the test and was taken into immediate custody. She had a .22 blood alcohol level, nearly three times the legal limit in California.


On January 21, 2011, Pressly filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Pressly listed the couple's date of separation as December 27, 2010, nine days before her DUI arrest.

Hopefully things will get back on track. Jaime is a lucky gal! She won't be getting any jail time for her arrest. She struck a deal with prosecutors and pled "no contest" in exchange for three years probation. An awesome deal considering she could have served six months in jail.

Talitha van Zon is a former Pl*yboy model .... that would be it, but for one topical fact ... she is a former 'girl friend' (I think that's the word for it), of one of Col Gaddafi's sons, after van Zom apparently had a 'three month relationship' with Mutassim Gaddafi after they met in 2004. The former Playboy centrefold was showered with gifts (including a collection of Louis Vuitton bags, and an expensive watch). She was flown around the world to the Monaco Grand Prix, and to a dinner party attended by Princess Caroline. Christmas was spent on the Caribbean island of Saint Barts (via a private Boeing), and they had London or Paris meetings on several floors of the most expensive hotels. He filled them with friends and Italian hairdressers, all flown in from from around the world. Whenever she visited Tripoli, she stayed in Mutassim's beach houses but was never allowed to meet Gaddafi himself. She never questioned having an 'intimate friendship' with the Muslim son of a despot ... but then she wouldn't would she?

She also apparently never worried too much about how this was all paid for. 'I asked him once how much he spent, and he took a minute to add it up in his head. He said ''about $2 million''. I said ''you mean a year?'' He said ''no – a month''.' ... he had other 'girlfriends' (there's that word again ) so it eventually ended. She then went on to become in her own words 'besides my work as a model I'm working on an interior decorator training'.

But it didn't end there. The pair remained close friends, and with the revolt well underway, and NATO bombings etc, this 'model' apparently visited her friend Mutassim Gaddafi just over a week ago 'It was the first time I had seen him since just before the February uprising' ... Oh that's OK then

They were together when he toasted a victory over the 'rebels' (or 'rats' as he called them), then came the 'rebels' advance, and Mutassim joined the 'fighters'. At this point our heroine made a run for it (hey, diamonds are no use if you can't spend them ) and she was allegedly 'ambushed' as she tried to leave the country was forced to turn back and take refuge at a hotel.

Once the rebels got in the city, instead of the gang rape she would have got from her boyfriends forces, the Dutch model was then paraded in front of rebel fighters who chanted 'petrol'. She says that she panicked and feared they would 'burn her alive' and then leapt from the hotel's balcony. She was treated in a Tripoli hospital ward, for injuries to her arm she incurred after leaping from the balcony (presumably she hadn't been burnt alive then), and she left the country on a humanitarian ship to Malta on Friday.

It is thought that she has already signed a deal with the Dutch media for her story .....

Suzanne Somers is an American actress, author, singer and businesswoman, who is perhaps best known these days for her television roles as Chrissy Snow on 'Three's Company' and as Carol Lambert on 'Step by Step' .... or then again maybe not. Working class parents (abusive and alcoholic father) and in 1965 she left education during her sophomore year because she was pregnant ... she married the father before the birth but was unhappy in her marriage and began an extra marital affair with her former drama teacher, and her marriage broke up after three years when she left and began 'modeling'.

While working on a game show in 1968 she then met her future husband a Mr Hamel, and started a three year extra marital affair with him although he was still married and living with his wife. She became pregnant while Hamel was still married and she had an abortion. He finally divorced his wife and they married in 1977, and Hamel became her business manager.

Her TV and film career was bit parts mostly (e.g. uncredited role as a topless pool girl in Magnum Force in 1974), until she landed the role of Chrissy Snow on 'Three's Company' in 1977. All was well until the fifth season when she demanded a five fold pay rise to $150,000 an episode and 10% ownership of the show's profit. ABC denied her request and she boycotted the second and fourth shows of the season with lame excuses (e.g. a broken rib) and she remaining season under contract (but with her appearances decreased to 60 seconds per episode) .... ABC terminated her contract.

She sued ABC for $2 million for damaging her credibility in show business. The arbitrator decided that Somers was owed only $30,000 due to a single missed episode for which she had not been paid, all other decisions favored the producers. Somers later said she was fired because she had asked to be paid as much as the male actors on the show (Alan Alda and Carroll O'Connor). The CBS network signed her to a contract while she was still in arbritation with ABC for her own sitcom, but after the publicity (and Somers later claimed a string of 'cease and desist forms' to CBS stating that she could not use any of her Chrissy Snow characterization), the whole project was dropped.

During the 1980s, Somers became a Las Vegas entertainer and she also performed for US servicemen overseas. Somers appeared in 1980 in the first of two Pl*yboy cover-feature nude pictorials: The 1980 pictures were apparently taken before she made it as a model or actress and was a test photo-shoot for the magazine (published only after she became famous). The second was in 1984, and was after her TV work had apparently ended. In 1987, she starred in the sitcom 'She's the Sheriff', which ran show ran for two seasons. In September 1991 she starred in the sitcom 'Step By Step' which ran for seven seasons. This was followed by other stuff e.g. co-hosting the 'Candid Camera' show, but she was dropped after 2 seasons.

She then reappeared in summer 2005, on a Broadway debut in a one-woman show, 'The Blonde in the Thunderbird', a collection of stories about her life and career. The show was cancelled in less than a week after poor reviews ... The New York Times "...a drab and embarrassing display of emotional exhibitionism masquerading as entertainment" .... plus disappointing ticket sales.

She has courted controversy with her advocacy of the 'Wiley Protocol', which has been labelled as "scientifically unproven and dangerous" and the promotion of alternative cancer treatments. This also has received criticism from the American Cancer Society.

Finally, she was arrested by San Francisco police in March 1970 and charged with passing bad checks. She was 23 at the time, and managed to avoid prosecution by paying back the money she owed ... oops.

• In 2001 Somers announced that she had breast cancer, having a lumpectomy to remove the cancer followed by radiation therapy. She decided to forego chemotherapy in favour of alternative treatment.
• On January 9, 2007, the Associated Press reported that a wildfire in Southern California had destroyed Somers' Malibu home
• She was the spokeswoman for the 'Thighmaster', a piece of exercise equipment that is squeezed between one's thighs.
• She is opposed to water fluoridation
• She is the authoress of a series of self-help books
• She has also released two autobiographies, four diet books, and a book of poetry entitled "Touch Me" (1980).

Tawny Kitaen (b. Julie Kitaen) is an American actress and media 'personality' ... her mother Linda Taylor Kitaen was former 'beauty pageant queen' (I had to throw that in ). She first came to notice after appearing hard rock videos for the band 'Whitesnake', (e.g. "Here I Go Again") .... and she enjoyed the job so much that she married the Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale in 1989 (div 1991). She later married baseball pitcher Chuck Finley in 1997.

She began her acting career in a minor role in the 1983 television movie, 'Malibu'. She followed this up by starring in the erotic-adventure movie 'The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak' (a.k.a. Gwendoline) in 1984. She then triumphed as co-starring with Tom Hanks in the movie 'Bachelor Party' and in 1986 starred in the horror movie 'Witchboard'.

After the divorce from Coverdale she had recurring parts on television series such as 'Hercules: The Legendary Journeys' and even co-hosted 'America's Funniest People' from 1992–1994 . She was a regular cast member on 'The New WKRP' in Cincinnati from 1991-3. Other career highlights include her appearance in a feature of professional athletes and their wives in the 1999 'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Issue. From 1992-6, she provided the voice of "Annabelle" in the animated television show 'Eek! The Cat'. She also did a semi naked photo shoot for the 'Weekly's' magazine February 2004, "sex issue".

Arrests:

She was involved with a dispute and a conflict with a motorist in a parking lot in December 2001 for which she was charged with malicious damage. ESPN reported that "...court records show that Kitaen was arrested On Dec. 13 on a charge of malicious damage for allegedly using a key to scratch a Chevy Suburban on both sides after a parking dispute in Newport Beach, Calif. She will be arraigned on that charge on April 18."

In 2002, she was arrested and charged with domestic violence for an incident involving her then-husband, professional baseball player Chuck Finley. He alleged Kitaen injured him while kicking him with one of her high heels as they drove home after dining out. The case was later dismissed after a plea bargain, when Kitaen agreed to "enter a spousal battery counseling program and avoid contact with Finley" ... Three days after the assault Finley filed for a divorce.

In 2006 she was arrested for drug possession, after being caught in possession of 15 grams of cocaine in her Orange County home. Prosecutors said her two children were home at the time, and Kitaen had given deputies permission for the search .... she avoided a felony drug possession charge by agreeing to enter a six-month rehabilitation program. During her divorce proceedings from Finley, it was revealed Kitaen was addicted to prescription pills and shopped around to various Newport Beach physicians for fresh prescriptions.

She has since been in and out of rehab programs, and was part of 'The Surreal Life' cast in 2006, and was one of the patients in 'Season 2 of Celebrity Rehab' with Dr. Drew.

She has also been arrested for the almost statutory Driving Under the Influence in Newport Beach, California in September 2009. According to Newport Beach police Sgt. Shontel Sherwood, Kitaen was arrested at about 3 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon when officers suspected she was driving her Range Rover under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She was later released after posting $2,500 bail.

Trivia:

• Kitaen has been linked to various 'celebs' e.g. Tommy Lee, O.J. Simpson, Jerry Seinfeld, Chuck Finley, and Jon Stewart.
• She also starred in the film "Crystal Heart" in 1986.

Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, is an American rapper best known (if she is know at all) for her solo work under the name "Foxy Brown", as well as numerous collaborations with other artists and her brief stint as part of hip hop music group The Firm. She seems to have been born to be trash, which kinda gives her a head start here, but we are an equal opportunity thread, so here we go.

While still a teenager, Brown won a talent contest in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. She then made appearances on several RIAA platinum and gold singles from other artists, and in 1996, Brown released her debut album 'I'll Na Na' . She followed this up with 'Chyna Doll' in 1999, and Broken Silence in 2001. She also performed in the 1997 on the only album to be released 'the Firm'

She seems to have little concept of self control, but an exaggerated big idea of her self importance, and consequently her career, is littered with arrests, brushes with the law and she has served some prison time.

Arrests:

January 1997, she spat on two hotel workers in Raleigh, North Carolina when informed that there wasn't an iron available. She failed to turn up at court and an arrest warrant was issued. She finally turned herself in on April 30, 1997. She eventually received a 30-day suspended sentence and was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service .... might have been better if she had got time then ... you'll see why by reading on .

July 1999, she was escorted off the stage by police at a concert in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean for using obscene language, but was neither charged nor arrested ... ironic that her bad language is not tolerated there.

March 2000, Brown crashed her Range Rover in Flatbush, Brooklyn and was arrested for driving without a license ... in fact she had committed a string of motoring offences before and since then, having been 'busted' on 16 traffic violations in New York alone, in a period of less than three years, according to state DMV officials. She has been cited for everything from blowing red lights, to weaving across lanes of traffic without signaling, officials have said. She also failed to pay New York State a total of $4,780 in fines and surcharges ... She's also been hit with citations for driving without a license, insurance or an inspection. She seemingly doesn't give a sh*t for mortal laws.

July 2002, Brown illegally evaded a body search at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica and then punched a policewoman in the stomach. Her publicist later explained the his employer felt that she was being "detained" at the airport ... yeah that's what security scanners are for alright As you might have guessed, when the hearing was scheduled July 2002, Brown failed to show up ... an arrest warrant was issued. She hasn't gone back and she would be arrested if she ever would return to the country.

August 2004, She attacked two manicurists in Chelsea, Manhattan during a dispute over a $20 bill that she refused to pay, and in April 2005 she pleaded not guilty to assault charges, but was given three years probation in October 2006.

April 2005, the female rapper Jacki-O, alleged that she and Brown had a fight at a recording studio in Miami, Florida, saying that Brown came into the studio during her session and expected her to "bow down" to her. Of course the following month, Brown denied anything happened in an interview with the Miami, radio station WEDR. Brown's attorney, stated on that he could no longer communicate with Brown verbally, due to her suffering sudden hearing loss. Amazingly Judge Melissa Jackson suspended Brown's assault case for two weeks ... can't she read then? (Stupid question)

March 2007, she pleaded 'not guilty' (as usual) to assaulting a beauty supply store employee. According to police, an employee of Queen Beauty Supply spotted Marchand 'utilizing beauty products' in the store's bathroom and told the performer that the shop was closed. The temperamental Marchand allegedly responded by spitting on the worker and throwing hair glue at him. When cops responded to a 911 call, Marchand swatted an officer's hand away and began 'swinging her arms and struggling' with the cop, who was 'forced to utilize a takedown maneuver to gain control' of the rapper. Marchand was charged with battery and obstruction of justice and was booked into the Broward County lockup

But her crime wave continued with her being arrested after leaving New York state without permission during probation, then being arrested for hitting a neighbor with a BlackBerry, and arrested yet again for almost running over a stroller with a baby inside with her car (which she was probably driving illegally) .... and this was all in 2007 alone ... Question do the US not have prisons anymore?

Finally in September 2007, the Judge (Melissa Jackson again) gave Brown a mere one year sentence in jail for violating her probation (the 2004 fight with two manicurists) ... While in prison Brown was given 76 days in solitary confinement due to a physical altercation that took place with another prisoner (I can have a guess as to who started that). Then she was also verbally abusive toward correction officers and refused to take a random drug test. [see above to see her previous on this]. She was finally released "from solitary confinement...for good behavior", and she was finally released from prison on April 18, 2008.

Have a guess if this set her right on her behaviour issues? Your right, she was soon back to her old ways

July 2010, she was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection during an incident in which police claimed that she swore at and then mooned at her neighbour and 'rival' Arlene Raymond. She was released on $5,000 bail following her arrest ...what ever happened to the 'three strikes' laws??

Drugs:

In 2000, she announced she was suffering from depression and entered rehab for an addiction to prescription painkillers, in particular, morphine. She stated on record that she could not perform or make records unless she was on the drug.

Sex tape:

Rumours are that she has a sex-tape on the web but it could be a lookalike ... I don't know.

Trivia:

• When Brown was challenged on air about her endless criminality, she entered into a confrontation with the radio host 'Egypt' on New York City radio station WWPR-FM.

Without any shadow of a doubt, she is the most persistently obnoxious and antisocial of all the minor or forgotten celebs I have posted on (and that's getting on for 600 in this thread). My prediction for this lowlife? Back to prison again real soon ....

Continuing the Ghetto Ho theme for one more post, Shawntae Harris is an American rapper and actress. In 1992, Harris got a big break when she won the grand prize in a local rap contest sponsored by Yo! MTV Raps. She was signed up and promoted as a "female Snoop Doggy Dogg". Her debut album, 'Funkdafied', under the name the name 'Da Brat' sold one million copies, making her the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album. She produced another solo album but came to be known more for her "featured" appearances on other rappers' and R&B singers' albums rather than for her own solo work. In early 2000, Da Brat released her third full-length album Unrestricted, which was moderately successful but her 'Gangsta' image had palled ... In 2005, she attempted another comeback and attempted to add to her sex appeal but she appears to be more of a backing singer and support act these days.

In 2007, she participated in the fifth season of the VH1 TV reality series 'Celebrity Fit Club' and 'The Surreal Life' ... a sure sign that all was not well in the showbiz career.

The usual broken home background, but unusually she claimed that she was "a spoiled only child", which is why she chose the stage name of "Da Brat" .... of which more below. She is also the younger half-sister of minor actress and major early player on this thread LisaRaye McCoy.

Criminal Activity:

There is something about these ghetto trash and assaults on anyone who crosses them (probably the violence of their background surroundings rubs off) ...

In 2001, she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless conduct after she had beaten a woman with a gun (is that just a misdemeanour?), during a dispute over VIP seating in a Georgia, nightclub in 2000. Her victim ended up needing six stitches for a head wound, and Harris just ended up serving a year's probation. Oh and the little princess got 80 hours of community service and was forced to pay a $1,000 fine ... so that justice seen to be done then.

In October 2007, she was once again involved in a violent argument in a nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia. The altercation was at a Halloween party held in the Studio 72 nightclub and started when Harris exchanged words (aka verbally abuse) with a club hostess, and when the hostess started to talk to the her manager about the incident, Harris attacked her from behind. She struck her victim in the face with a rum bottle, and the hostess had to go to hospital with cuts on her face and above her eye. The police arrived and Harris was arrested, and booked into DeKalb County Jail where she was charged aggravated assault.

In court Harris entered a guilty plea to the aggravated assault charges and she was sentenced to three years in prison, seven years of probation, and 200 hours of community service ... in February 2011, 'Da Brat' was officially released from prison, finally completing that part of her sentence (she still has the community service, and remains on probation).

• She made her film debut in 1996 in the Shaquille O'Neal comedy 'Kazaam'.

Dorothy Ierne Wilde (aka 'Dolly Wilde') was an Anglo-Irish socialite, made famous by her family connections and her reputation as a witty conversationalist. Wilde, born in London three months after her uncle Oscar Wilde's arrest for 'homosexual acts', was the only child of Oscar's older brother, Willie.

In 1914, she travelled to France in order to drive an ambulance in World War I and showed remarkable courage when driving to the front. She dabbled in writing, and was regarded by many as 'a gifted storyteller and writer. However, she was supported mostly by the generosity of others (lady friends), and by a small inheritance from her stepfather, the translator Alexander Teixeira de Mattos. She rarely put anything out for publication and her only written works were uncredited and unpaid for translations.

In 1939 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and refused surgery, seeking alternative treatments. The following year, with the Germans approaching Paris, she fled for England, where she died aged 45 in 1941, according to the coroner's inquest of "causes unascertainable" (It could have been a drug overdose but was more probably of the cancer).

Drugs:

Wilde drank to excess and was an alcoholic. She later became addicted to heroin, and she unsuccessfully went through several detoxification attempts. Indeed such was her addictive nature, that she even emerged from one nursing-home stay with a new dependency on the sleeping draught paraldehyde, then available over-the-counter.

Affairs:

She seems to have inherited more than a surname from her uncle .... during the first world war she had a lesbian affair with one of her fellow ambulance drivers, the Standard Oil heiress Marion "Joe" Carstairs (who in the 1920s became a speedboat racer and was known as "the fastest woman on water" ... and possibly between the sheets, by the sound of it .... She had a brief affair with the silent screen star Alla Nazimova who also features on this thread.

Her longest relationship, lasting from 1927 until her death, was with openly lesbian American writer Natalie Clifford Barney, who was host of one of the best-known Parisian literary salons of the 20th century, and who has featured on a number of occasions on this thread.

Although she "revelled in" attracting both men and women, it seems that it was plenty of the latter, and few of the former. Its safe to suggest that she was primarily, if not wholly, lesbian

Noelle Bush (b. 1977) is the daughter of former Florida governor Jeb Bush and the niece of former U.S. president George W. Bush. She was arrested by Tallahassee police in January 2002 and charged with trying to fill a fake prescription for the sedative Xanax. With its echoes of the 2001 arrests of Noelle Bush's cousins, Jenna & Barbara Bush, for underage drinking, the story got a lot of publicity, and much parody in the press and political blogs.

In February 2002 Noelle Bush entered a court-ordered drug treatment program at an Orlando drug center. In July of 2002 she was rearrested and jailed temporarily for 3 days in jail, when a counselor found her in possession of unauthorized pills, a violation of her court-ordered treatment plan.

In September 2002 she was back in the news after police visited the drug treatment center and found Bush in possession of a dime-sized chunk of crack cocaine in her shoe. She was sentenced on the 17th October 2002 and was led away in handcuffs to serve her ten days in jail for violating the terms of her court-ordered drug treatment program.

Tameka and her husband wife arrested on drug possession charges after sheriff's deputies smelled marijuana coming from their vehicle during a traffic stop. They were taken to the West Hollywood, CA sheriff’s station and booked on drug possession charges.

She has two sons with rapper T.I. and one daughter, Zonnique Jailee Pullins "Star", from her affair with Zonnie Zebo Pullins.

Her husband, raper T.I. or T.I.P., has served time in prison on federal gun charges and multiple drug convictions. Tiny (Tameka Cottle) says he is a victim of a 'Personal Vendetta'!

He has been targeted because of his fame. Tiny says that authorities are treating
TIP unfairly, on very minor charges, in an attempt to make an example out of him!
