New board sluggishness

Seems like the board has become very sluggish in the last 24 hours. Editing posts/posting sometimes stalls out before throwing a 502 and yet a lot of times the change went through. Also Thanks has become worse where you click on the Thanks button and the button disappears but nothing happens.

There are still some glitches but at least for me slowly but surely being repaired. Give the techs some time as this is a huge time consuming task.

I too have noticed the sluggishness as well as an increasing number of 502's and 504's but given the the red letters above saying that the rebuild of the database index may take at least several days I have been putting it down to that.

I imagine that when you rebuild a database index you start with nothing and then gradually over time the index gets bigger and bigger which will use up more and more server resources and we are seeing the impact of that.

Oh of course. Always. I just wanted to note what, for me at least, seems to be new issues that didn't initially exist when the board came back up.
