Was Maggie Wright the sacrifice victim in Twins of Evil?
I've just looked at this thread for the first time and I see there are a couple of earlier postings showing Maggie Wright in a scene from "Twins of Evil"
However I don't believe it is Maggie Wright in that scene as the sacrifice victim. Here are arguments for and against that identification. For:-
Here's a collage I made of the scene in Twins of Evil for which I was satisfied it was Cathy Howard. With a close-up image of her face flipped to vertical to make it easier to compare. Here are some face comparisons for Maggie Wright Here are some face comparisons for Cathy Howard And just about discernable in both the "Twins of Evil" scene and for Cathy Howard in "Bizarre" (in which she is wearing a wig) are two birth marks on the right cheek which appear to match. Maggie Wright - 'Twins of Evil'
Quote:
On the YouTube download for this movie, she is stated to be the sacrificial victim. On MrSkin she is also identified as that. But, strangely, she does not have an entry for this role on the usually very reliable Midway 'Topless Review' website:- MAGGIE WRIGHT «My Lover My Son (1970) - Topless as she sits on a bed and removes her bra and then lays down as James (Dennis Waterman) stands by the bed watching - it is a fantasy he is having about what might happen if he goes with the prostitute sitting beside him in a night-club audience. «Suburban Wives (1971) - Briefly seen topless while dancing with a man (Peter May) - seen from above - then lower nudity laying on a bed as he approaches (her arms are covering her breasts at this point). «The Love Box (1972) - Topless in bed with a young lad called Peter (Paul Aston) as they get ready to make love - then during lovemaking the scene is lit with multi-coloured strobing effects and is difficult to see anything properly - then topless laying beside him talking after they have finished. «Sex and the Other Woman (1972) - Wearing a bra in a light aeroplane with her nipples partially seen out at the top as she tries to kiss the rich pilot Reggie (Anthony Bailey) whom she is trying to seduce into an affair - then topless in the backseat as she takes off her bra and beckons for him to join her with partial full frontal nudity seen u topless in a dressing room telling her fellow model (Barbara Wendy) about her recent airborne escapade whilst they are changing their outfits between modelling sessions (NOTE: This scene was removed from the US released version of the film) u brief full frontal nudity trying on a mink coat in front of a mirror - seen in the reflection u full frontal nudity laying on a waterbed in Reggie's home as she beckons him to join her - then topless making love with Reggie on the waterbed as they roll around and he rubs some lotion into her breasts - then briefly topless laying on her side as they talk - then topless sitting up in bed as his wife (Margaret Burton) and her friend discover them and the wife takes some pictures of the compromising situation u topless sitting at a vanity table taking off her night-dress and putting on a bra while talking to Reggie. [Story 1] (This was story 2 in the US released version which had one scene missing) «Confessions of a Pop Performer (1975) - Topless and full frontal as she steps out of her light-green party dress while alone in a bedroom with Tim (Robin Askwith) during a party as he dons a facemask and snorkel and larks around pretending he is swimming while looking in the large wall mirror - she is aware (but he is not) that it is a two-way mirror and the other party guests are watching them for entertainment - then topless and full frontal laying in bed as they roll around together - then topless sitting on the bed dressing as Tim leaves the room for something and discovers what the other party guests are all looking at and realises he's been had. «Secrets of a Superstud (1976) - Lower nudity while naked as she lays down on a bed with Custer (Anthony Kenyon) - her breasts just about remain covered - later topless laying in bed with him before leaning over to rip up a doctor's report. From what I remember of this film (and it is some time since I viewed all of it) there is another scene which fits with the 'Cathy Howard - girl on tomb' ID. So the jury is still out on this ..... |

The thing about checking other sources is you never really know whether someone is just playing follow-my-leader or if they've checked for themselves. I've seen many ID errors on Mr Skin that no doubt get perpetuated when someone checks that site.
As for quoting the Topless Review site (without realising it) you've created a circular argument there and there's quite a good reason why it is not mentioned for Maggie Wright, and is for Cathy Howard (on the Seventies Starlets section) I still can't see a resemblance to Maggie Wright in that girl on the tomb and a clear one with Cathy Howard, but if someone comes up with evidence to prove me wrong, I'll be happy to be put right. |

Is it possible that Cathy Howard played the girl in close up but Maggie Wright did the full frontal nudity briefly glimpsed through the sheet as it is draped over the victim? Just a thought although a 'body double' for a role like that seems unlikely. Great research, OP! |
