Sex and the Physically Handicapped.

I'm SERIOUS about this post. Please no jokes or snide remarks. Have you ever had sex with a physically handicapped person? I bring this up because of what my wife and I witnessed today. We were swimming at our health club when a young couple came in who we had never seen before. The woman was in a wheelchair and her husband helped her into the pool and supported her as she moved around with her arms. We all got to talking and shared a table with them at the snack bar later on. It turned out she had broken her back two years ago after falling down some stairs. What moved me to post this question was while in the locker room I heard two men who had also been in the pool talking about this woman. One made a comment about how good she looked in her bikini and the other said what a waste of "fox" it was for a "cripple" to look that good inferring that she couldn't possibly want or have sex. Years before I met my wife I dated a woman who used a wheelchair and she loved sex. She still had very limited use of her legs but it was easier for her to use the chair. The first time we went to bed she told me physically handicapped people get horny just like everyone else.

I know a woman who was in a wheelchair for years and she was pregnant. So I can't see why physically handicapped should have other thoughts than everybody else.

There was a good programme on UK TV years ago on this subject, Channel 4 probably, that had David Rappaport in it. Think it was called "The Rocking Horse" but can't find any reference to it on IMDB.

I have two friends in wheelchairs.The only difference between them and everyone else is that they move around on wheels instead of feet.

My uncle was disabled from birth. It is annoying that some people think that because you're disabled you're not sexual, or can't have sex.
