Former British diplomats are already more specific in their statements. Apparently, Porton Down scientists were pressured from above to find the 'right' kind of 'evidence'. But they refused to play this dirty game.

To anybody with a Whitehall background this has been obvious for several days. The government has never said the nerve agent was made in Russia, or that it can only be made in Russia. The exact formulation “of a type developed by Russia” was used by Theresa May in parliament, used by the UK at the UN Security Council, used by Boris Johnson on the BBC yesterday and, most tellingly of all, “of a type developed by Russia” is the precise phrase used in the joint communique issued by the UK, USA, France and Germany yesterday:

This use of a military-grade nerve agent, of a type developed by Russia, constitutes the first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since the Second World War.'

Although this judge and jury trial by Downing St continues, there is still virtually no factual information forthcoming, just endless stupid political hype and media waffle.

There is no such thing as a military grade nerve agent. Even in very crude form these agents are essentially considered military weapons. Nerve agent is a huge step up from the chemical weapons used during WW1. Tabun and Sarin were invented by Nazi scientists in the 1930s. No chemical weapons were used during WW2. The German organophosphate chemistry was secured by the Allies and Russians at the end of the war who improved it to even greater lethality. There has been claimed use of Sarin and VX since WW2, even by American special forces during the Vietnam War, but not much proof. Don't take too much notice of the government speech writers who write stuff to sound good and steer public opinion rather than providing well researched facts. This is increasingly like the WMD shit that took us to a pointless war for no good reason and was blatant lies, reinforced by material gather on the internet.

Right now, there is still no proof of anything. The motive is muddled and unclear, there are no suspects. We don't know how the agent was administered, although there are a few obvious possibilities. No doubt Porton Down or Fort Detrick could make this stuff, so could the Chinese, North Koreans, possibly the Iranians and certainly Israel. Are the victims dead or just semi-dead? This is clearly being witheld on purpose.

Because this event involves various Russians, it must be the FSB who are responsible, acting on Putin's orders. That's what we are being asked to believe.

At one time, people were supposed to be innocent until proven guilty in this country, but this flood of speculative non-information is just not good enough. Yes, I'm inclined to think there is a strong possibility that it was a hit carried out on the orders of Putin, but that's only based on the available information and some past events they have been involved in. A little less hysteria by politicans and some professional detective work and analysis is needed - IMHO.

Not being English, I was wondering what was the latest on that Telford child abuse story.

The victims all look like the girl next door type.

Because it has all been kept very quiet. The police and social services have not broadcast what has been going on because they were afraid of being called racists. We have even had one politician who has said ignoring it was the right thing to do in the interests of racial/cultural harmony.

We try not to encourage people to take the law into their own hands, especially the less intelligent types like skinheads.
