President Joe Biden's first 100 days ... and then some
It's a foregone conclusion at this point that Donald Trump will be a one term president but do you think that Biden can fix the mess that he will inherit???
The national debt has risen almost 10 trillion dollars since Trump uttered he would pay it off during his term in office and it is estimated to rise as much as another 5 trillion as the pandemic worsens. Will Joe be good for the country as a whole or is the USA on a course for a revolution??? They are going to have to drag Trump out of the White House kicking and screaming... |

While I want to see The Donald sent to the scrap heap of history, let's not jinx it with a thread like this right now. The only way to tell who will win is to wait until Wednesday morning after the election. Go ask Hillary if you don't believe me.

Where was the US national debt before covid and how much has it gone up because of covid?
Surely if some of the rise is because the Govt. has helped people and businesses to keep going, then that part has to be accepted by everyone?

At least this probably won't be dull.
As Mr Trump has already alleged that the Democrats are rigging the election, while himself seeking to commit electoral fraud to the height of his power, and claiming any defeat would be invalid and caused by fraud, I look for him to be as destructive and disloyal to the United States as disloyal can possibly be. He might barricade himself into the Oval Office and call upon the AR-15 brandishing KKK militias to flock to defend him, but I doubt that they will, and I doubt if Mr Trump will take a chance on still being inside the United States after leaving office. He and Melania will be very unlikely to attend a Joe Biden inauguration, as his presidential immunity will expire as soon as Mr Biden takes oath of office. The Feds may well take Mr Trump on his perp walk even as Mr Biden commences his speech. I would expect Mr Trump to have landed in Russia a few hours beforehand.

Quite true. One remembers though that Mr Trump insisted on having his own name on the one-off cheques distributed to relieve the American people, thus taking personal ownership of the decision. Then there are the totally unfunded tax cuts overwhelmingly biased in favour of the highest income bracket. He is a great one for credit-grabbing and blame-shifting - which makes it harder to be objective when assessing the damage accrued during his presidency.
