Default How to bypass Zango and download rapidsafe links using Firefox browser

For my fellow Firefox users:

Hey everyone. I did a little experimenting on the Firefox browser and it turns out there is a simple way to bypass the zango download script on rapidsafe links and they will work just fine.

1) at the top of the browser above the navigation bar, click 'tools.'
2) click the 'content' tab.
3) uncheck 'Enable JavaScript.' (there is another box for 'Enable Java,' leave this one checked for now.)
4) copy the rapidsafe link and paste into your address bar.
5) when the page loads, it will have a grey background, and just under the underlined link "Search Rapidshare Files" will be name of the file (for example, "d_o_e.part02.rar") and just underneath that a grey colored "download" button (it will be in between two other grey colored buttons for "premium accounts" and "new tools"). click the 'download' button.
6) the next page should take you to the standard rapidshare download page, "i.e. you have requested 'such and such file'" etc. do not click the 'free' download button just yet.
7) go back up to 'tools,' and on the 'content' tab, recheck the 'enable javascript' box.
8) once the box is checked, go ahead and hit the 'free' download button. that will take you to the next page where you will see the 2 minute (or whatever time) countdown, and you will be able to download your file as normal.

You WILL have to repeat this procedure every single time you want to download a rapidsafe link, but it's only a few clicks and you won't have to install any additional software on your computer.

Hope this helps!

Doesn't No-script do this for you when used as an add-on on Firefox? I blocked rapidsafe with it, as per Dub's suggestion in another thread, and have not had a problem since. Previously, I tried to block it with Adblock plus alone, but this was ineffective. Is your method a better or more complete way to do the same thing, and is my way wrong? Thanks a lot for your time and effort on this matter.

Yes euler NoScript blocks Zango for you, csnordpm's solution is a alternative way and can be used when you don't have the NoScript add-on installed. Firefox has the option, as all browsers have, to turn javascript on and of, NoScript is a extension of this feature that offers more flexebillity and easier acces. I don't use Firefox myself but when i did i would use NoScript .
