Knife crime in London is on the up again.

Remember all that furore about "stop and search" policing and how discriminatory it was - leading to a curbing of the powers?

I wonder if the two could be in any way related?

Just to make sure that "non-island" residents are not invited to post what they might consider noticeable in their proper homeland

By the way: Aldi in Germany sells original British Baked Beans @ 0,49 € per 425ml-can this week, as well as original Scottish Shortbread Fingers @ 1,29 € per 250 grams. Both are excellent and do taste exactly as I used to know them while being in the UK numerous times.

Another terrorist plot foiled in North West London-a woman was shot(first time for a decade apparently) by armed police near Willesden and some arrests made. Never a dull moment in London, but just last week I remember many years ago an Army recruitment place up the road from me was blown up by the IRA and a car exploded outside a bank and a Jewish charity building but the most 'exciting' was the massive 1,000lb bomb that went off one Friday night-the shockwave could be felt for miles and my room shook!
