Default Imagevenue

Individual image views counter
- i might be wrong but they appear to be the only one that provides this

On the downside their new IP blocking of accounts now has a reason in their TOS
- excessive bandwidth

Terms and Agreements for ImageVenue

On the front it says Unlimited bandwidth / unlimited storage hosting period

It would appear 1 DMCA notice = IP blocking of account

In the TOS

ImageVenue reserves the right to remove any digital content that compromises
security of our dedicated servers or use EXCESSIVE BANDWIDTH.+

An abuse of copyright law will result in immediate ban of abuser's IP from using Imagevenue service.

Default Table update

I updated the table and filled a lot of gaps.

Remaining gaps:
  • Download-info for Bulk Image Downloader and Jdownloader for most hosts
  • File compressing (yes/no) for most hosts
  • lots of info about hotflick, pixxxels, imgbb

Any info to fill the gaps is greatly appreciated.

By "file compressing", do you mean automatic compressing by the website, even if the uploader doesn't choose it?

Also, I noticed that you left the box for imgbox blank. Does this mean that you have yet to confirm whether it compresses images?

Yes, e.g. for postimage which is connected with pixxxels is announced, that they will compress images of free uploaders in the future, so this could happen to pixxxels too. (they call it optimization)
Code:
https://blog.postimage.org/2017/05/06/upcoming-premium-service/#more-379
Pixhost compresses the images when you dl them with a dl-manager, while they stay uncompressed, when downloaded via zip (I added that info in the notes).

Yes, all blank cells in the table are gaps, for which I didn't find information at the forum/at the site of the host. I'm not skilled enough to find out, if files are compressed by the host or not.

If you have info if anything is wrong in the table or if you can fill some of the gaps, please post it here in the thread or in the test-threads of the hosts, and I will update the table.

I see. Thank you for that information. Regarding the "max upload per batch" section, is this regarding how many files can be uploaded in one go, or a permanent size limit to each gallery?

For instance, imgbox is listed in your chart as having a 150 max upload per batch limit. Does this mean that each gallery can only contain 150 images, or merely that it's only possible to upload 150 images to it in one go (but more can be added to the same gallery in separate upload sessions)?

EDIT: Also, I noticed this:

Does this mean that the 180 x 180 maximum thumbnail rule here at VEF has been abolished and replaced with a 200 x 200 maximum thumbnail rule?

EDIT #2: I checked imgbox's help page, which states, "A gallery can contain a maximum of 500 images". Also, as a test, I uploaded 228 images to one imgbox gallery all in one go, and it worked flawlessly, so there doesn't seem to be a limit of 150 simultaneous uploads either.

It means the max upload in one go. But I didn't write 150, but >150, so maybe you can upload more at once. I didn't test out the limit of the max batch for one upload nor the limit how big a gallery can get if you add more images to it.
I think it is good enough to know, that you can upload 150 per batch, as you can add max 150 images in one post as by VEF-restrictions.
If someone provides better information, (e.g I got for imagebam the info that it is a max of 500), I will add it. But I will not test all hosts by myself.

I don't know exactly what's the new rule is. But for now 200px is allowed.
Concerning pixhost: 200px is only default. And in the start nobody found out, how to change it. But it is possible, to choose the thumbsize for pixhost from 150px to 500px in their settings.

Thanks for testing. I will add this to the table. Probably 500 in one go is possible also.

I successfully uploaded a PNG file to Imagebam, so it appears that it takes PNG files as well as JPG and GIF.

Just a heads-up that has to be verified the next few days. It seems that ImageBam doesn't keep original file names anymore. Today I noticed some posts only providing random file names (e.g. c42017560065153.jpg, the first six characters containing CRC32 characters of the image).
Example 1, example 2

Indeed, that sucks big time.
On the bright side, it makes my decision to kiss ImageBam goodbye even easier.
