Did your mum find your porn mags?

My experience was a bit different - the porn mags at home were under my Mum's mattress (late 70s England, lots of stuff with mary Millington). I had to sneak in when the house was empty and put them back very carefully after I'd used them.

I also used to stay with an Aunt from time to time, and her husband's mags were under the cushions of the living room sofa.

I used to help out an electrician if he had a house to rewire. At some point during every job when the owners were out we'd have a hunt for the mag stash of the man or the teenage boy of the house - the attic was a favourite hiding place in our experience, also the garage or the garden shed. We took what we fancied knowing they couldn't complain.

Sadly, in recent years the Internet has reduced the necessity for guys to have a traditional stash of porn in the home.

At one point, after I had "used" them (I had softcore mags only) , I completely forgot to hide them and left them all over the bed, she found them and just told me to put them away. That was all. I used to steal from neighbour's houses or from magazine stands , cut out the good photos and put them in a "scrapbook" , I still have that one. That's almost nostalgia these days, internet has replaced all those mags and vhs tapes , dvds are next on the list I guess.

My mum found my mags (Mayfair, Escort, Fiesta and not to mention more than a few big tit mags) stashed under my bed and binned the lot!! She went ballistic and gave me one moral lecture and bible bashing sermon after another but my Dad, who up to that point in my life had been the strict one, was fine about it, took me out for a pint a few days later (My first pint as well at sixteen) and never said a thing, Good old Dad!!

I remember the occasion when I rolled back my bed to prize up the carpet underneath where I had just hidden my latest copy of Club and found it, along with three other mags gone!

This was a bitter blow for a 15 year old as it was the first mag that I had actually bought - all that courage being screwed up for the long walk from the top shelf to the till for nothing.

Luckily I did have several other small stashes hidden around the bedroom that I could fall back upon, but I never forgot my first bought mag back in 1986, so much so that I bought it again 15 years later.

Mum found my porn a further two times resulting in the loss of some classic 80's mags, she did have a winge at me once but decided that porn prohibition would cure my interest. Here I am 22 years later...

By the time I was 19 I had collected so many magazines I had to keep them in a suitcase - locked of course. The day I left home my mother was helping me with my packing. She was intrigued to know what was in the suitcase and why it was so heavy? I answered that it was just a collection of railway model magazines. "Oh", she said, "Do steam engines look like naked ladies then?". The upshot was that my mother had a duplicate key, unknown to me, of the suitcase and had known for some considerable time about my vast collection of porn mags.
