As far as the most recent Hawks/Niners game, the Niners got the shaft on quite a few bad calls. In a close game, that means the difference between winning and losing. The refs have an obligation not to affect the outcome of the game. The seahawks won in week 2, because of bad calls. Unlike the week before in Green Bay, where the Hawks got one stolen from them by the officials.

The fans get to review every play, the refs should be able to review every play.

If the Hawks offense was doing what it's supposed to do, neither game would've been close. he sooner that Bevell, the O coordinator gets the sack, he better off Seattle will be.

And I sure hope that the Niners rise again...

I believe you have to let the officiating crew make some decisions even if they get it wrong otherwise its almost pointless them being on the field, having a couple sat in front of monitors and reviewing every play would probably double the amount of time it takes a game to finish.

I don't think it'd be that much longer. How many pivotal plays are there in a game? A dozen? Maybe? There are calls that aren't reviewable now. Additionally, the booth can't retroactively throw a flag. I'm ok with an extra 15 or 20 minutes of game time if it meant better officiating. I know the league would just hate extra ad revenue....

It was not a good week for any of us. Right now, laughingboy and will101 are leading with 8-7 records, and both picked Dallas. Cardinalcary is 7-8 and he picked Arizona. If Dallas wins, it's down to points between laughingboy and will. If Arizona wins, cc is tossed into the mix and it's down to points.

Brian, warlord and myself are all 7-8 as well as cc, but we all picked Dallas.

BTW, props to will for having more faith in the Bills than I did.

This is correct in theory, but human officials are going to favor home teams and quality teams. Human nature being what it is, it is hard to penalize a team in the presence of 20,000 to 70,000 of their screaming fans.

It is frustrating for fans on the short side. It usually takes a season or 2 for a perennial bottom feeder to earn respect from officials. Dallas Cowboy games have fans of other teams screaming in disbelief.

It has taken the Warriors a couple of years to overcome 30 years of putrid teams and begin getting something approaching even-handedness. The Raiders would really help themselves by drastically curtailing the sheer number of stupid and obvious fouls. It will take a very long time to overcome their current legacy.

Boy, did I ever get killed on my picks this week, but I am not alone.
