Not sure why but someone gave me a 45 of Eddie Rabbit's I Love a Rainy Night and that's been a favorite ever since.
I college I was in a band and got the guys to cover it but the condition was, me who never sings in public, had to take the lead vocals. Turned out to be one of our most popular songs when we performed. |

It's a Grand Old Flag by George M. Cohen. I had it on a 78 rpm disc & I played it and some others I had on the family player. The vinyl was not black, it was some such other color. It was such a long time ago. This is the tune, but I don't think it was done by this artist
