That red tower in the Olympic Park is going to be the Worlds tallest tube slide.

Some people are protesting in the States about a Dentist, what did he not use enough Novocain. No apparently he shot a cat.

I am not sure which of these is more interesting!

Man in Kentucky uses Number 8 birdshot to down a camera toting drone hovering over his property. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/techno...ard/ar-AAdGg2x I believe this will be more wide spread as idiots believe they have the right to fly over anyone's property and take pictures. I can understand it more if the guy had a female member of his family sunbathing in the backyard.

I can't blame the guy for shooting down the drone.

I'd guess he was thinking somebody was casing his home before breaking in.

I doubt he was thinking at all!

It makes me recall another technophobe a while back, when mobile phones were still the toy of businesses only, as they were too expensive. I a pub in Staffordshire (I think) there was a sign behind the bar banning the use of Mobile Phones. A rather noisy chap chatting away on his as he came in, pausing only to order his drink(as I recall without a please or thank you) found as he handed over his money, his phone in his beer. The Landlord who had took it off him and dropped it there, simply pointed to the notice!

The Glasgow bin lorry inquiry into the deaths of six people has heard the driver had no references on his file and was suspended from his former job.

I guess there will be a lot of buck passing by officials as the incompetent goon who was actually behind the wheel and therefore totally responsible for the incident will no doubt be glad of the smoke screen being raised by all the other parties involved (employers and DVLA). He will not face criminal charges but should not be allowed behind the wheel of ANY vehicle again.

It's an old saying nature is red in tooth and claw but as humans we have the choice to decide to take several options. He chose to travel thousands of miles not to relax on a beach or see historic sites but determined to kill wild animals for pleasure.

Look guys, African (Big Game) countries use hunting as part of a managed conservation program. Some of these animals would have to be culled anyway, so the Governments allow hunting, and make some considerable revenue in doing so. This helps to pay for the general welfare of the animals, and employs a fair few people. The dentist may be an utterly contemptible toerag, and very probably should not have used a crossbow, but has he broken any law? I am not sure any of us know. Perhaps you should vent your not inconsiderable anger at the authorities who allow it to happen.

He didn't walk onto a beach and kill 38 innocent holidaying fellow Human Beings.
