A Minnesota woman is suing her former employer, saying she cleared Playboy modeling job with her boss.


A 33-year-old Minnesota mom is suing her former employer, claiming she was fired from her job with a cable television provider because she posed nude for Playboy magazine even though she had cleared it with her boss.
The lawsuit filed by Jessica Zelinske, of Kasson, contends that her boss at Charter Communications in Rochester had said she could pursue a modeling opportunity with Playboy in early 2011, then fired her as an ad account executive upon learning that she had done a nude photo shoot.
Zelinske appeared on the cover of the September-October 2011 “Hot Housewives” issue, which went on sale in late July. She competed with more than 400 women who answered a casting call in Chicago that spring.
The suit names as defendants Timothy McBeain, the local sales manager who fired Zelinske, along with Connecticut-based Charter Communications and its advertising sales division, Charter Media.
McBeain said Tuesday his attorney advised him against commenting about the suit. Charter spokesman John Miller said, “Charter complies fully with all applicable employment law and denies any wrongdoing.”
The company, in a federal court filing Monday, contends that Zelinske was never given assurances from McBeain about keeping her job and that she did not tell him ahead of time about the photo shoot.
According to the suit, Zelinske told McBeain weeks beforehand that she was answering a Playboy casting call and received his assurance that her job — paying $18,000 annually plus commission — would not be in jeopardy if she appeared nude in the magazine.
The “Hot Housewives” issue was released in late July 2011. In early September, McBeain handed her a “Corrective Action Report,” notifying her that she was fired on the spot for violating the company’s “standards of common decency.” The notice went on to say: “You have violated Charter’s professional conduct policy by making the personal choice to pose nude in a well-known publication.”
The suit seeks at least $150,000 for, among other things, emotional distress, compensatory damages and legal expenses.

Pawn Stars’ Fires Former Suicide Girl Olivia Black

Olivia Black, who was hired to work for Gold and Silver Pawn in the fifth season of Pawn Stars, was fired from the show after naked photos of her emerged.
Black went by the name “Belladonna” as a model for SuicideGirls, a soft-core porn/pin-up model website before being hired at the pawn shop. Her past as a Suicide Girl was revealed in the National Enquirer, which featured a photo of her in lacy lingerie.
Black posted a link to the article on Monday, and the 27-year-old confirmed the news on her Facebook Wednesday, stating, “Well S***….I was just fired.”
Shortly afterward she wrote, “Nay, Sadly this is not a joke….I no longer work for Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, it has been a whirlwind of a year, and now I must move on.”
The Enquirer article says that she was a Suicide Girl in 2008, and that the cast and crew knew about her past. She joined the site because, at 5-foot-2, she was too short to be a runway model. An anonymous source told the tabloid:

“Olivia loves her gig on Pawn Stars, but her nude modeling isn’t necessarily in the past. She would never do any*thing to upset the show’s producers or her pawn shop bosses, but if ‘Playboy’ called her right now and asked her to pose in the buff, I’m sure she wouldn’t think twice about shedding her clothes and saying ‘cheese!'”

Black’s supporters wished her luck in her future endeavors and said that it was the show’s loss for firing her. One naysayer, however, said she barely spoke during the season and was visible for “a total of about 15 seconds a season.”
Black responded, “Mike Soke, you should bite your tongue in lieu of the circumstances, I have done nothing wrong to deserve a firing, especially at this date. Obviously, like all others that have no job, I am slightly stressed.”
The show didn’t confirm exactly why Black was fired, but the timing of the Enquirer article and her dismissal seems too coincidental to not be related.

A high school teacher has been forced to resign and escorted off the campus after she was discovered to be a part-time glamor model.
Olivia Sprauer said she was asked to resign after confirming to school chiefs she posed for a series of bikini-clad modeling shots.
The 26-year-old, who models under the name Victoria Valentine James, had been planning to resign later this month to pursue a modeling career.

However when school chiefs at Martin County High School saw one of her photos, she was escorted from the campus.
Miss Sprauer, an English teacher from Boca Raton, said she was called into the principal's office and shown a photo that had been sent to him.
On confirming she had posed for the shoot, she was told to resign and was escorted from the campus in Martin County.
Various shots of Miss Sprauer are featured on the website Model Mayhem.
She describes herself as a 'a graduate student living in South Florida' who loves being in front of the camera.

A statement released from the Martin County School District confirmed the teacher no longer works for the district.

Meet The World’s Most Idiotic Teacher, Carly McKinney (NSFW)


Carly McKinney, a 10th grade math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado, has been placed on administrative leave after a local news station found half-naked pics, photos of the 23-year-old smoking pot and inappropriate Tweets under the handle @CarlyCrunkBear on the internet. Even though pot is legal for personal use in the state of Colorado, the school is investigating whether McKinney brought pot on campus. Lamely, McKinney is claiming that her Twitter account was a parody that her friend was tweeting from and that she never brought drugs onto the school’s campus. Huh?
Whether she brought pot on campus or not seems irrelevant to me. This girl has to be the dumbest, most arrogant person to accept a teaching job. I’m sorry, I’m going to go off here. There’s no way she didn’t consider that these tweets and pictures, parody or not, might have ended up being seen by students or administration. I used to teach high school and the very first rule is that your social media profile must remain totally separate from your professional life. At the school where I worked, faculty weren’t even allowed to have a Facebook account (this was before you could make them private). It was against school policy for me to connect with any of my students on any form of social media. I get it. Because teenager’s identities aren’t quite formed yet, they are extremely impressionable. They don’t understand appropriate boundaries so grey areas are confusing to them. It’s no surprise that many of her students are taking to social media to back McKinney. They look up to their “young, cool” teachers and want to be friends with them. It’s the teacher’s responsibility to make the relationship clear. The power is all in the teachers’ hands. Any blurring of those boundaries — as these photos and tweets do — is a violation of power on the part of the teacher.
I don’t care what this girl’s excuse was, and I don’t care that McKinney’s 23 and probably really immature. The moment you become a teacher, you’ve made a choice to prioritize your students over posting your dumb social media business.
Update: Tustin Amole, spokesperson for the Cherry Creek School District, told us on February 28 that a decision about the future of Overland High School teacher Carly McKinney, who was put on leave after news broke about controversial photos and tweets sent from her Twitter account, was likely to come the following day. Wrong. The district waited for three more weeks, until the info dead zone of a Friday afternoon, to announce that McKinney won't be coming back to the school. Here's the entire release from Amole:

The Overland High School teacher, who was placed on administrative leave after allegations of impropriety arose, is no longer employed by the District. The district will have no further comment as this is a personnel issue.

Note that McKinney's name isn't even mentioned in the statement, and neither does the district say whether she was dismissed, resigned or some combination thereof.
