It almost sounds like they are going to go for the whole British page 3 thing - mostly naked, topless, boobs out, but no peek at the pink.

That won't fly either.

If Cooper can get his shit together and start printing pics of some really fresh ladies in the classic style, without the bald pussies and plastic skin then PB will be back on track. Until then...

On that classic quip of not reading it for the articles, am I the only one who actually did? Playboy actually had some interesting articles and interviews. To me, if I ever felt like buying one (or stealing one from older adults), I bought it FOR the articles and interviews. The women were just an added bonus to gaze at, of course, but I really did like the articles. Then again, I grew up with internet already, I'll never know the...desire, I guess, to buy the magazines for the sole purpose of the women.

I kid you not, when I was in high school, I loved an article that they had on Fallujah during the Iraq war so much, I actually cited it on a research paper I was doing for American History. That didn't go over well at all with my teacher though.

The articles and interviews were quite good, thought provoking and informative. In its heyday the Bunny Mag also had great cartoons and jokes that were funny.

I have always said that anybody who bought Playboy and didn't read the articles didn't have any financial sense. There are nude women on maybe 25 pages of a 200 page magazine. The rest of the magazine had to be worth reading, at least once.

And that's modern (well, modern-ish) Playboy. For many years, the mag had a centerfold only. 150 pages of jokes, politics, neckties, interior design, music, and a single naked lady. Your 75 cents in 1958 bought you one naked photo of Elizabeth Ann Roberts and a heck of a lot more.

Found this discussion now,yes, a little late but I must say that playboy was good until 20 years ago. There were good articles, interviews and good nudes,I mean real beautiful women and good photographers,now It's only making money,people find everything on the web, It's sad but I think there is no more sense, idea of what is erotic,people want only extreme sex not the poster on the wall,perhaps one day they won't make sex anymore,only virtuality and children with artificial methods, anyway,fortunately, I wil already be dead!
