There is simply no known cure for a hangover. If one existed then it would be on pharmacy shelves all over the world and somebody would have made lots of money through it.And threads like this would not exist because we would all know the answer.Drinking lots of water has risks in itself and some of the pseudo scientific suggestions are non starters.

Indeed what works for one, will seem like death to another.
For me, the 'hair of the dog' has always seemed like a good place to start........ Perhaps we here on VEF should undertake some research, purely in the interests of science you understand!

Many Moons ago I read that the human body needs 12 parts of water to break down 1 unit of alcohol. So assuming a nice average 5-6 pinter evening that's 60 pints of water....
From experience, I've worked on the theory that you should never go to bed on a full stomach of alcohol. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep straight after drinking. Guaranteed hangover Try to stay awake long enough to drink one mug (not cup) of tea or coffee for every pint you drank. If that means a lot of tea to drink then fair enough. Works well for me If you're drinking anything other than beer then you deserve a stinking hangover for deserting the hop, "the vine of the North" as Michael Jackson once said.

Breathe pure oxygen for a few minutes. (Ask any fighter pilot.)

So drunk fighters pilots breathe oxygen for a few minutes and then soberly go about their business at several hundred miles an hour?
No problem here You're certain it's 100% effective? If it is, I'm definitely going to re-consider sniffing glue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WAwuSK36Gw

The best cure against a hangover is to avoid getting drunk. I'm not a big alcohol fan and I don't remember the last time I got drunk. Getting drunk just for the sake of it is completely irrational. People should know where the line is drawn because the body sure knows. To tell you the truth, I could count on one hand the times I was really drunk. Once I even questioned the possibility of waking up alive. After that, I'd go overboard for a bit but always within limits. Now, I like to have some beers from time to time. It's not that I don't like to have a good drink. I guess I just don't like the idea of losing control over my own judgement and perception.

A buddy always told me to never go to sleep if the bed was spinning.I've not been drunk in years but back when I was drinking I had some record breaking hangovers.I've drunk enough Michelob Dark to float a pretty good size ship.
