OK, just got home from the MCG after seeing my mighty Hawks narrowly defeated by the ladder leaders the Geelong Cats. I'm sad. I'm also reminded of a video that I think epitomizes the Australian spirit. It demonstrates the courage and commitment that allowed us to tame this wide brown land. It shows the raw sensitivity of the average Australian male. If you can view this clip without a tear coming to your eye you haven't drank enough beer.

Being the Gorillas, dosen't quite have that same impact to it, As....

I like The Gorillas.

I think it's a nice change from the usual sporting fare.
You know, like Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs, Pumas, Jaguars, Cats, Tigercats, Dogs, Bulldogs, Wolves, Timberwolves, Cobras, Taipans, Sharks, Dolphins, Marlins, Stingrays, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus, Hawks, Eagles, Liver Birds, (gasp!) and Magpies.

No, give me the Gorillas. I'm not sure if their playing style was reflected in the name. Whatever it was, it worked.
