You're right, but you know Erdogan hates and fears Kurds like the plague and will do much to hurt them. There are 40 million Kurds in and around Turkey. Erdogan is an ultra-nationalist and the idea Kurds should become a State is his worst nightmare

That country in past was once very liberal, even at times of the Military Junta.

What's totally incomprehensible to me: the Russians accept the Turkish bombardment of the Kurds in Syria.
