Well, *perhaps* we might be frightened of the 'new you' ... but not the slut you are dressed as. I believe that on All Hallows Eve we are supposed to dress as the terrible spirits who seek to harm us and leech our souls--like goblins, devils, witches, Hollywood film remakes, and income tax forms--so that we mock them and show that we are not scared of them.

We could give you, MH, some cosmetics tips and/or lessons about how to more-elegantly-lurch in high heeled shoes

By sluts? Not really. "Slut" implies that both people in the interaction still have a choice of:
1) whether or not one or both will participate,

2) what that intraction might be, and
3) how often it might happen.

However, one has very few, if any, choices with any of life's real evils--like deranged murderers, colonoscopys, and extremely cold toilet seats.

Yes, I agree. Also, I get the impression that some other persons who dress in slut costumes might actually want to do 'slut things' and they believe that "acting in character because of the costume" will somehow relieve them of responsibility for their choices and actions.

Actually, the belief I just mentioned--people dismissing their responsibility because of their clothes--scares me!
