We got that. We just worry about you affording that with them budget cuts. But then again that sounds about right paying for equipment while skimping on the workers, like a Glock can pay taxes.

Glock does produce some of their pistols in the US. https://www.ammoland.com/2015/03/glo...#axzz4jGDtlrG8

Sig Sauer has been moving production to the US - https://www.realgunreviews.com/is-my...really-german/ http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...-guns-us-2015/

Heckler Koch has been expanding its production in the US too. http://hk-usa.com/heckler-koch-expand-columbus-georgia/

Not because the US workforce is any better, more likely import rules regarding made in the US parts.

On another point, why not just issue the Browning HiPowers that are there? Damn fine weapons.

It also cuts out a lot of paper work! No end users certificate need be issued by the importing government.

Most of the Chicago city police use Glocks. They say they're the best guns the Chicago police have ever used since they first started to carry firearms in 1896.

They're light and very "user-friendly" as they're made of hard plastic. Because of that, smugglers were successful at getting through controls at airports.

Glock and Steyr-Mannlicher are Austria's biggest arms companies. Unfortunately Glock guns are also very popular among terrorists.

Glocks are very light, very dependable and very cheap. Under 500 bucks out the door when on sale.

Actually I think they are near the same price they were when they first came out in the 1980's - so cost has gone down in terms of inflation impacted dollars.

The supposed invisibility of this gun seems to be a bit of myth as only part of it is made from synthetic material and most of it is metal. Apparently there is no problem seeing Glocks on x-ray scanners.

Right now the Glock is world's best selling police and military handgun, currently standard with UK police and military, but the US has just decided to re-equip its military with a new American made Sig Sauer 9mm to replace the Beretta, so perhaps things will change a bit?

I'm sure you're right. The "success" I mentioned above must have happened a long time ago and cannot withstand today's monitoring technology. The myth factor could be Hollywood-related. There is a scene in Die Hard II in which a cop is threatened with a "Glock 7". In reality there is no Glock 7, only a Glock 17 and it's not a German product as portrayed in the movie but Austrian.

Sure you don't want some machine guns, armored personnel carriers and the US version of RPGs? I don't think the US Army is has given all of those to the local police yet, you should still be able to order some.

I see on a news website that the cost of treating anogenital warts in the UK is an estimated £58.44 million a year!

Any forum members had one of those? How do they treat them? Does it sting ?
