Another Pearl and Dean cinema advert which always gave me a sardonic twinge of amusement was for double glazing, and began, without a trace of irony, with the slogan: ''Step into our plate glass windows...''

Not a TV advert but I saw one in Leeds today that made me laugh out loud.
It was a billboard ad for WKD and the slogan was "Make Her Face Light Up This Christmas.....Buy Her A Torch".
