Angry You've got to be shitting me , sideways !

Once more , I've read about a re-boot remake of

For truthies

Now if it was a re-booted remake of those couple piss poor sequels , that I would understand.
Yet the original
Is Hollywood so starved of fresh pulsating new movie script ideas

Yes and I can angrily ask that having had my own groundbreaking script rejected yet a bloody`gain

A movie everybody (Who I owe money too) would be happy to see on the big screen !

"Fatty Arbuckle his ups , downs and crushes"

Gee`s all I demanded was to direct , star and have complete artistic control final edit along with a three hundred million dollar budget.

Yet those penny pinching buggers all said no

I mean I`d not feel so bad only gained six stone for the role

Uh huh that`s my excuse and I`m sticking to it

Thumbs up Evil Dead (2013)

I saw the remake of Evil Dead in the theater and actually really loved it.

Call me crazy, but this movie was relentless in the Terror it unleashed on its audiences.

Yeah I know it might be slightly sacrilegious (make sense ) to suggest that I prefer it over the original, but everything worked

And I actually cared about the characters in the story, which is a nice change of pace from most of the disposable teen characters you tend to find in the genre.

Killer (pun intended ) score, amazing visuals, plenty of blood, and sheer terror!

Default Seriously - a remake of "Turkey Shoot" exists?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082338/

Abridged from Wiki:
Turkey Shoot (also known as Escape 2000 and Blood Camp Thatcher) is a 1982 Australian dystopian exploitation-action film directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith and starring Steve Railsback, Olivia Hussey and Michael Craig.
The film is notable for its extreme violence and sadistic prison sequences, and AskMen [a free online men’s web portal] labeled it "Easily the cheapest and nastiest piece of mainstream celluloid ever stitched together by our mad cinematic scientists.

I remember the 1982 version of Turkey Shoot - it was so bad, it didn't even qualify as a "guilty pleasure" since there was nothing pleasurable about it - well apart from the nude scene with Olivia Hussey:

So imagine my shock when I heard about the 2014 remake of Turkey Shoot (also known as Elimination Game) starring Dominic Purcell, Viva Bianca and Robert Taylor:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3816614/

The IMDb has this remake rated 3.6 / 10, which is worse than the original (5.9 / 10)...

Cool IT (2017)

Some may disagree (totally okay ) but I really liked the remake of the 1990's Stephen King horror/thriller.

The basic premise is that a demonic figure in the form of a clown returns to a town every 27 years to terrorize youngsters.

I found it better than the book and original movie due to its ability to reduce the length of the story down while keeping all the vital parts in tact.

Great visuals too.

Everything just seemed to click and come together.

Often seems to me a thin line of what is a reboot to a remake.
I will give two where I know I'm right!
#1. A Indiana Jones remake can never happen.
#2. A very cool Science Fiction remake and not a cheep TV sci-fi channel crap and know it would be, but if a major well done movie would kick ass....Space 1999.

Lightbulb I hadn't even known they`d done one !

Made this I mean

An abomination of a remake of that.

A film which granted plot wise makes bugger all sense. Only in terms of acting (Oh boy and are the two main leads roasting ) , pacing , editing , music , effects and unflinchingly brutal raw gore , wise. Is bloody resounding. This Pascal Laugier directed and written film resonates. It makes you think. Stays with you afterwards for quite awhile. Even if you`d rather it didn't.

Whereas the 2015 version is so bad , so bad. Apart from the carbon copied scenes at the start , it could easily be rated a PG13.

Kevin Goetz and Michael Goetz should hang their useless blandness filled heads in shame.
Better still.
Should actually literally hang themselves
Some might say
Yeah and don't forget to take script writer Mark L. Smith with you , plus the entire embarrassingly painful to watch cast.
Ok the "Newer" version was maybe lower in budget to a marked degree.
I guess
Maybe it wasn't
Either way that`s no excuse.
If you've never seen this remake.
Don't.
Go watch something really unrelentingly horrific instead.
Such as ,

Thumbs up The Crazies (2010)

I just finished rewatching this terrifying gem tonight. A remake of George A. Romero's 1973 cult classic, The Crazies tells the story of a deadly virus unleashed on a community after a military plane goes down.

To be clear, there are no zombies in this movie which is a nice change of pace. The infected people are known as "Crazies" and develop sadistic and homicidal inclinations.

What I liked most about the film is how it was able to mix horror with science fiction. It is also very historical as nations have tested and used chemical agents to use as weapons which made the film even more terrifying.

Overall, a solid remake, very intense, and most importantly, has characters you care about.
