The worst or most disgusting things you ever ate or drank
The worst or most disgusting things you ever ate or drank We had this discussion this afternoon over a few beers with a few mates I remember 2 things I'll never have again and had as a kid Pickled Herring, that's what started it today Last time I had that I was about 10, Dad made me eat it, and when I threw it up on the kitchen floor, I got my beatin' and never ate it again And this, Mum gave us a spoonful about every second day, I used too make every excuse I could think of not too swallow it, even used too hold it in my mouth and when Mum wasn't lookin', I'd spit it into the sink till Mum caught on.... resulting in a double dose

I almost eat everything.
I shoot, slaughter, remove guts, bake & eat. I fish, smoke an eel. Eat own vegetable (sometimes with a worm), etc. But Yogurt, sour milk. Realy disgusting, they boil the milk to kill all proteins, then cooled half way to let it turn sour.

Haslet
Bought half a pound a few years ago, as it`s cheaper than Kerry Katona. I mean pig organs, white bread mixed with stinking spices, where could i go wrong But enough about Kerry Only wish i`d been able to smell it before i spent money on it, as the solid mess tasted like rotten cat food dug from a dead lepers arse But enough about Kerry

At Gilwell Park back in the late 70s when I was a cub scout we had to emulate 1916 Scouting and the food they had to eat. We were given something which looked awful but actually tasted bloody awful too-some of us were sick so god knows how those 1916 scouts survived! If I remember correctly it was some kind of muesli-type stuff, put me off cereals for 10yrs and then I ventured back tentitively to Rice Krispies.

The century egg!
From the wikipedia entry: "also known as preserved egg, hundred-year egg, thousand-year egg, thousand-year-old egg, and millennium egg, is a Chinese cuisine ingredient made by preserving duck, chicken or quail eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, depending on the method of processing." a fun bit of myth: "According to a persistent misconception, century eggs are, or were once, prepared by soaking eggs in horse urine." I've had a few of these, actually. They go great with beer (lager or lighter ale). It's a bit like an egg that has turned to lightly stinky cheese. Someday soon I hope to try stinky tofu on its native soil, which is a bit of a graduation from the century egg. The century egg looks strange, but I've seen a ten-year-old american girl down half of one without batting an eye. If you get the chance, try one.

Roll Mopse : They take a part of the fish no one wants, rolling it up and put it in a briny water to pickle it. I lost a bet at a Christmas Party and had to eat one of these things. I may well have enjoyed eating an actual mop more.
