So, who's gonna start it
And why

I've no idea for all I know, It'll be started by something small that escalates way beyond proportion........like a pygmie villager having his pigs stolen by a rival tribe over a border and an incursion starts

I always considered the Cold War to be WWIII. (Winner yet to be determined.)

WW3 is here and only increasing day by conglomerate created media manipulated day it`s lethal nation against nation murderous intent.

But it would still be better to drink beer than start a war. We should tell the countries whose names start with "I" that if they think for a second of playing with nukes, all the Major Powers = Russia, China, USA and Australia will invade and take away their toys - ALL their toys

Many Russians agree with you, maybe 20% of them

But the trouble is that many Republics are now independent, and do not know that our corrupt leadership is better than their corrupt leadership, although nearly all know that either are better than Western corrupt leadership

What are they to do?

I think the flashpoint could be Afghanistan, or somewhere nearby.
The reason being in one relatively small area you have;
China (nuclear superpower)
India (nuclear almost-superpower)
Pakistan (nuclear Islamic Theocracy)
various corrupt ex-Soviet Union republics (gawd knows what they're armed with)
NATO (nuclear happy-clappy collective of like-minded capitalists)
It could also kick off in the opening skirmishes between the Islamic north of Africa and the Christian south. This could be race (Arab vs. African) or religion.
We are living in interesting times.
I'd prefer boring ones
