They would tax shit if they could find a way to do it. Perhaps a toilet meter?

I hope none of the Labour Party ideas men read this forum - you may have just given them an idea!

With water meters on the agenda for all of us eventually, better be careful how many times you flush the karzi.

Pretty good idea.

Live 20 miles into the countryside and you had to wait 8 years for Broadband.
Virgin and all the cable suppliers aren't going to allow access to rural areas because there's not enough dosh in it for them.
If you live in a city - fine.

This trivial little tax which isn't even two pence a day will pay for rural access to the next generation.

What you "snivellers" need to be aware of is the destruction of the NHS, by starving it of resources and introducing payments.

Then come back and complain about less than two pence a day to give everyone fair access that is not governed by profit.

I'm not really sure what the point of this tax is.

Seems like the haves have to pay the have nots so that the have nots can get what the haves already have.

However our Broadband is well behind certain other parts of the world and vastly overpriced compared with those countries.

Maybe the have nots are better off as they pay nothing.......

Got to reply to that comment.

Starving it of resources. This is a recession pal but the Government are still putting more money into the NHS.

Introducing Payments. For what?? Some part of the UK have already cut payments, like prescriptions, etc.

Finally, I am not sure what a "sniveller" is but you might want to get your facts right before submitting your opinions here.

Most of the money pumped in to the NHS has been wasted on pay increases for the indolent maladroits who "work" for it.

why should everyone subsidise those that want to live so far off the beaten track

they make their own life choices, and should be adult enough to live with the consequences

just because cheaper cabled access is not available, satellite broadband and other forms of slower internet access has been available for years, I guess you just don't want to pay for it, rather you want a handout from everyone else ?

perhaps next you will want a tax so that the rest of us pay for the cleaning of septic tanks 'cos they are 20 miles from the nearest drains
