I took 500mg a day of magnesium for several years and I still got headaches. I quit it about 8 months ago or so.

Here's one for night shift workers
I generally sleep well, I have the odd morning when I come home from work and find it hard to asleep, typically after the first night back on roster. One of my workmates always has problems sleeping during the day and he also tends to work overtime being 2 extra days, well nights really. He went and got help for it a few months back , said the therapist recommended he tries bed linen made from Egyptian Cotton, so he tried it and said it has helped a great deal. Last week my Missus decided we needed new linen and I suggested we try that cotton, so we bought 2 new sets, they are a little expensive. Last night I tried it for the first time on the bed I sleep in when I'm on work roster, I use that room when I work nights as it's just quieter. Kid ya not, best sleep I've had in years, went to bed a little early for me, about 2:30 am, didn't wake till just after midday Missus generally kicks me out of bed by 10 am but today she knew I'd be trying those sheets and just let me go. Bed wasn't hot, cold but just sort of warmish and very comfortable and with no blankets just a woollen quilt that also has that cotton as a cover worked wonders. Night Shift workers who have trouble sleeping, give it a go, it's well worth the extra cost That's gotta be my gayest post ever, talking about fabric

Everyone sleeping at the same time for 8 hours a night solid it seems is far from normal for humans in evolutionary terms. Indeed sleeplessness and varied sleep patterns may have been necessary for our survival. So maybe we shouldn't worry about it so much.
https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle...-a3586426.html A safe habitat to sleep like abundant food is a very recent development and it is difficult to override what millions of years of evolution has programmed us for. Insomnia and obesity was probably a far lesser concern to our ancient ancestors compared to starvation and being eaten by lions. |

No lions, but the Aborigines obviously couldn't stay awake long enough to see off the real danger - Christians. They regret it so much they now have to get pissed to sleep. For Christians insomnia must just be punishment for being sinful Last edited by vinceprince; July 18th, 2017 at 05:11 PM.. |

I have zero issues with sleep. I rarely have a poor nights sleep. And I get 7-9 hours every night.

Billy. I have finally found a cure for my sleepless nights. And it is not in a bottle.
Just like you said. Family problems solved make you sleep. Hope all is well up there. |
