Shame on you Brecht. I have never been interested in watching any sports in my life, but I got interested in watching pro golf in 2002. I got to know all the best players, the best courses, the major tournaments, the two Cups that are played alternate years(the Ryder Cup where players from America play members from Europe) and (The President's Cup where members from America play an international team consisting of non-European nations). Also I learned all about professional golf, and my favorite player was the Fijian Vijay Singh who in 2004 went on to become Player of the Year, and won more than $11 million, and won 9 games, including The Pga major Championship. Singh was the leading money winner in 2003, 2004 and 2008. Being over 50 years of age now he still plays the PGA Tour, but only has wone three times. You have to be patient to watch golf, but it can be very exciting if one or more players are great.

Sorry TM you aren't selling it to me.
It's good if there some good players what if there aren't any

I'm with Brecht here, I cannot think of any circumstances that could entice me to watch golf.

unless......

Sorry, TM. There aren't many things I can be sure of except that I'm never gonna show the tiniest bit of interest in golf.

The old analogue channel DSF(german sports channel) used to regularly have a couple of hours each late night devoted to girls and sports-mostly naked or stripping off with implements like a fencing sword or a football(usually in some kit or other) and I am pretty sure there was a golf sequence once with maybe two girls-now THAT I would watch...and in fact I did.

Every year there are always good players. Maybe the reason you don't like watching golf is that many of the golf courses in the U.K are what are called "link" courses like the type used for the "Open" or "The British Open Championship". That is the one tournament I never watch because of the way the course is. Wide open greens that are very rough, few if any trees and traps that look like bomb craters.

No, the reason is far simpler, I just don't like golf as I find it crushingly boring

I would much rather watch professional golf than your "football" which here in America we call soccer. I can't think of a more boring sport. It puts me to sleep everytime, which is why I only tried watching it twice. Never again!
