I think Estreeter only goes to the pub because the women of his household order him out so they can watch soap operas on TV without his helpful analysis and commentary. As far as I know, Estreeter doesn't really like beer and has been trying to acquire the taste for it for many years without success.

Those twat cyclists who insist on bicycling on the road - when a bicycle lane is provided running parallel to the road to create a safer route for them and keep them out of the traffic of a busy road.

I partially agree.

But what annoys me the most is all those people who drives alone in their bloody too large car (even a new mini cooper is too large for one person).
Egoïsm is the major cause of traffic jams, pollution and road accidents.

Damned drive a motorbike or a scooter or walk... or stay at home.

I really really hate private cars. People drive instead to read a good book, drive instead to look at the sky, drive instead to work out...

Billions of liters of gazoline wasted each day on this planet... because of stupid human behaving like brainless sheeps.

Which ones? The old ones or the new ones?

One day, with friends, we had the "luck" to see a recent Mini Cooper overtaking a vintage Mini Cooper on the highway.

That was UNBELIEVABLE! The old one was like a gokart compared the newest model.

They don't even qualify as a car
For me, a car has to have an engine, and an engine for me must be 6 plus cylinders and 3 litre minimum

High tech 4's got one but it's only transport as opposed to a real car

I bought my Hyundai Elantra because it was the largest interior dimensions of a normal sedan. 20 years of cramming my 6'3"/1.9m with a 48"/122 cm chest into a 1986 Nissan Sentra earned me a liitle comfort. (I refuse to drive an SVU.) But my preferred commute was walking to and from the ferry terminals with calming boat rides in between. I would even rather be crammed into a BART car than navigate the freeways, but that was not always possible.

I was astonished on Thursday early morning , when I was driving on a bad country road going to work , I was going slowly at 30 mph ( it was a tight bend ahead of me - and as the rain was torrential
( as is the case in Scotland , sadly ) and visibility was awful ( it was still totally dark ) - and I get a car behind me - overtake me
at speed , and approaching a blind bend round a country hill - he had no idea if there would be another car coming round or not ...!

madness - there had been also standing water on the road during the journey - what price being somewhere 2 mins early ?
