Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc - Page 30

As Futuro says, the image host services aren't a simple tree structure on a single server. That "img###" is the server, the bigger image host sites have literally hundreds of servers dedicated to file storage. As for that "47241_" prefix on the file name you may want to check out this thread: http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...d.php?t=105067 As for downloading lots of images at once, there are a number of programs you can use to help with that. Bulk Image Downloader is a popular one. If you use Firefox ImageHost Grabber and DownThemAll are popular add-ons that do the same thing. Look for the "Useful Programs" thread for lots of others.

It's okay at the moment, but there are periodical maintenance windows in which this host can be offline for a certain time.

That's understandable I suppose - unless you are hosting your eBay auctions with them.

Is anyone else having problems viewing images hosted by imagebam? The thumbnail is there, but a click on it just leads to a screen that is completely black. So anyone who is using this host, I can't see your pictures but I doubt if anyone else can. I do not think it is anything to do with the forum's new servers.

About 20 hours ago, I was having similar problems with 3 or 4 image hosts. I haven't seen any problems at this time yet.

Yea I have seen it to. It happens when I use a anonymous proxy. Its like a black fram is covering the picture.

Today I had some trouble to save the images. Strangely enough, it was possible to save only when I moved the mouse from below the image and the clicked on it. Weird!

I get it too (only on recent uploads/new posts) to Imagebam,
the only way to see the image is to allow ImageBam scripting lol (and then you get the element "enter" frame)

Yes like that is ever gonna happen..another image host i will never bother to even open thumbnails from (********** & Imagebam & Imagehaven)
